The Ultimate Indie / Rock Wedding and Party Band. The band has a great look and also boasts the talents of four fantastic musicians who graduated from The Academy of Contemporary Music. The guys have played with the likes of Ed Sheeran and Alex WInston on the original circuit and have come together to form one of the most exciting covers bands in the UK!

Academy are a truly authentic indie / rock band, playing the biggest hits from bands such as The Killers, Kaiser Chiefs, Arctic Monkeys, MGMT, Kings of Leon and Supergrass, as well as some classic British rock from the likes of The Rolling Stones and The Kinks.

The band has a great look and also boasts the talents of four fantastic musicians who graduated from The Academy of Contemporary Music.

The line-up offers three exceptionally strong vocalists, which adds more than a bit of sparkle to the live sound! The band is fully self-contained with PA, stage lighting and pre-recorded music between sets.

Academy were booked at short notice (3 days) and provided a truly excellent show for our wedding. Their flexibility to accommodate our requests with setup, set list and use of the kit was much appreciated. Most importantly, the band are superb. Academy played our wedding on Saturday night and were absolutely brilliant! They totally rocked. Everyone was dancing, young and old, until the bitter end and everyone commented on how good they were. My friends, husband and I are pretty hard-core music fans and we like to think we know what we're talking about when it comes to music and these guys were stunning! They thoroughly surpassed our expectations and made for an unforgettable night. Great songlist, loads of energy and really nice lads too. Booking, correspondence and organisation was seamless. They were happy to arrange for the sound engineer to set up a bit early so we could play our own playlist first which was very helpful too. Thanks so much guys. Exactly the kind of music, sound and band we were looking for. They are extremely cool and totally rocked the venue. We went from a relatively empty dance floor to a "mosh pit" within a few songs. One of the female attendees texted us after the event to ask where on earth we got such a "cool, hip and totally fit" band esp the drummer apparently. So yep would recommend hiring them any day of the week.

Hi Tracey, Well, what can I say. Academy were absolutely AMAZING! From the moment the sound tech Ian arrived to the moment they all left they were nothing but polite, professional and extremely helpful. Even though the weather was rubbish and everyone was inside the venue, the band seem to set up as if by magic, very discreet. I sometimes think it takes a while to get people up on the dancefloor but this certainly was not the case on Saturday. As soon as they started playing the dancefloor was packed. My feet are still hurting! We have had so many comments regarding how good the band were and one of our guests wants to book them for her son's wedding next year. We had an absolutely brilliant day and the guys in the band didn't disappoint! They were absolutely brilliant and got everyone dancing from early on, we have had loads of comments asking who they are and I think we may well see them again at another friends wedding... We couldn't have asked for more. They were a great band and nice blokes and we really wish them well in the future, they really helped to make our day so thanks again.

The news is all good! We’ve had nothing but fantastic comments from our guests, and the compliments are still coming in ‘where did you get them from – they were fantastic’ etc. Everyone I spoke to thought they played to the highest calibre, huge repertoire and the whole evening absolutely brilliant! I found Nick to be extremely professional and pleasant – and certainly very flexible to our needs. He was able to deal with some last minute changes very efficiently. It’s so important to get the music right at an event like this, and in choose Academy we certainly did – I’d have no problem recommending them to others.

Petersfield Events
On behalf of Petersfield Events, a HUGE thank you for recommending the band to us for our festival – they were absolutely amazing!! From the outset they had the whole crowd jumping about and dancing to tunes that we’re all used to hearing on the radio all the time. A lot of people said that if they closed their eyes and listened it was just like having their favourite band actually on stage – so accurate was their performance. And when they opened their eyes it even looked like it too - as the band looked so cool!

How long do you take to set-up? As little as one hour, but we prefer, if possible, to load-in two hours before guests arrive.

Do you have your own PA and lighting? Yes - all included in the price.

Do you have Public Liability Insurance and PAT tested equipment? Yes.

How long do you play for? We can perform up to 2 hours of live music, split in to sets as required. We also provide pre-recorded music between sets, so your whole night of entertainment is covered.

Will you perform our first dance? Yes, if its something the band can do justice to we are more than happy to learn a first dance of your choice.

How much space do you require? We have played in some very small spaces, but ideally a minimum of 2.5m x 4m.

How much power do you require? 2 x 13 amp sockets is fine for our system.

2 x 1 hour sets or 3 x 40 min sets
Academy also offer a 1 hour set of acoustic background music
