Chris P is a professional artist who has been specialising in caricature and cartoons for almost 15 years. His time is split between performing at corporate and private events, including weddings, birthday parties, children parties and so... throughout the UK, and working from his studio in Bristol producing commissioned artwork. Chris P The Caricaturist produces funny, on-the-spot caricatures in a different way than others, as he doesn’t use any stencils – all his drawings are free-hand and individual. They are not typical cartoon drawings done with markers. He uses an original shading technique, which makes the drawings different from others, as they are half life-drawings half caricatures, resembling a 3D effect. Each of his caricatures is produced on high quality white A3 card, suitable for framing and is drawn in black pastel / charcoal pencil and protected by an artist’s fixative.
People love watching his work as they have never seen this kind of technique before. So, his work is dedicated to clients who are looking for something different and original. Also, this artists caricature work is dedicated to people who have a smaller budget, who cannot afford to hire the busiest and top UK caricaturists. Also, Chris draws at many weddings, birtday parties, children's parties, engagement parties, community festivals and parties, school balls, charity events, corprate events and anything else you can think of!
During an hour Chris P produces up to 13 -15 caricatures. He needs about 10-15 minutes to set up. He usually works in a stationary position, but he would consider to walk arround the tables. So, he could be a walkabout Caricaturist.
Each caricature Chris draws is supplied in a clear plastic sleeve to avoid any possible damage to the artwork and is full protected. Big queues are common and drawing in black and white gives more people the chance of being drawn. That's why he usually doesn't offer colour caricatures at events, as they obviously take longer to produce.
He could provide pre-drawn paper and pre-drawn background available in full colour if requested.
