Be drawn by David, he is very witty with the pen and loves to entertain with his laughable and yet distinctly recognizable caricatures.
David draws ‘on the spot’ caricatures for any occasion and has enchanted audiences from weddings and festival to corporate functions and of course birthday parties.
He is speedy, professional and dare I say it ‘charming’! One of his caricature artists little tricks is he comes along with a big fold up panel and quite literally plasters on caricatures. As the event goes on the caricatures accumulate creating a screen of funny faces, for guest to giggle and enjoy.
David draws freehand using no pre-pencil work, and capturing a likeness is what he does best! All caricatures are unique and surprisingly complimentary, though extreme distortion is always possible on request! He always aims to make sure you have a pleasant and fun experience whilst in the ‘hot seat’.
He can be seated at an easel, standing or sauntering about, or a bit of all three. David looks to tailor his service to best serve you at your event.

I really did appreciate your call before hand and amazed you were at the venue before me, bearing in mind it started at 7.30 in the morning! My guests loved getting their caricatures done, as did I. You worked solidly for the whole two hours, missed out on a cuppa and breakfast to boot, when we had to leave VD1 you carried on in the cafe below! Many, Many Thanks indeed.

How many caricatures an hour do you draw? (a common question)
I can draw between 10-15 caricatures an hour, full bodied, and when quantity is required he can draw just comic faces.
Do you do walkabout caricaturing with a clipboard?
Yes I can, I can do walkabout, sitting at tables and based at a easel. Sometimes in the course of an event I might do all three, or if the client has a preference I will go with that.
How do you create them?
My style uses a brush marker pen for drawing and I use bold marker pens for the tone and shading.
What size do you do your caricatures in?
I mostly like to use A3, I find it works best for doubles, but can use A4 for single caricatures as well.
David can do 2, 3 and up to 4 hours straight and then his hand starts smoking! He can go on for longer with breaks.
