Nick has been a DJ since 1981, and has been the resident DJ at the Grange Hotel in Alton since 1985.
He has vast experience with all types of functions from Weddings, Birthday Parties, Anniversary’s, Christmas Parties, New Year’s Eve Parties, Corporate Functions, School Proms, etc.

Nick started DJ-ing back in 1981. With an investment of £1,000 and a friend to help move the equipment he brought a cheap and cheerful FAL twin deck and three small lighting effects - then it was off to the record shop (remember those things?) to buy the current top twenty singles and the top ten albums (plus, asking all friends and family if they had any records they didn’t want any more!). This was followed by the purchase of a Transit Van to move the gear and that was it... the money gone!
But it was worth it, and how things have changed... Nick now has a music collection of around 100,000 tracks - and no he doesn’t use those old Fal twin decks anymore – and, he has more light’s than just the three! In fact, the set up now has gone from the £1,000 it cost to start to around £30,000 and is always being updated.
Nick is a DJ because he enjoys it. He understands that he is not there to play what he wants, but what you want. His aim is for you and your guest's to have a great time because if you do - so will he!

All of Nick’s equipment is PAT tested, and he carries full liability insurance.

DJ Nick has over 25 years in the mobile Disco industry, providing entertainment to a wide range of client, including the British Army, Aldershot Football Club, The Farleigh Horse Trials, and The Grange Hotel... plus many more.
He has compered entertainment nights, social functions and provided the music for fashion shows as well as all other party needs. At the beginning of 2007 he completed his 300th Wedding Reception and so has had a lot of experience in providing entertainment for Weddings, along with Birthdays, Anniversaries, Engagement Parties, Christmas Parties, School Proms and all manner of corporate function. Although Nick carries a lot of equipment he is also able to down size the show for smaller parties. In addition, laser shows may be arranged upon request.
The Music
Nick has a huge catalogue of music to hand – from playing 'Floor fillers' that everyone will dance to - Barry White's ‘The First, The Last, My Everything’ being amongst the firm favourites, the 'Party Favourites' like DJ Ortiz’s ‘Hey Baby’, 1960's classic hits like Lulu's ‘Shout’, and themed selections from the Rocking ‘50s, Swinging ‘60s, Glam Rock ‘70s, ‘70s disco, ‘70s and ‘80s Punk, Early ‘80s New Romantic and Electronic ‘80s, Dance-powered ‘90s and current tracks from the Year 2000 onwards and the latest chart tracks, plus don't forget a good mix of Reggae, Ska, R'n'B.... the list is endless!
And, if you like, the music choice can be up to you - when booking Nick, you will be asked for a selection of the music you would like played - and also the music you DON'T want played! So, you can influence what he plays alongside the usual tunes you expect to hear. Also, advising Nick beforehand enables him to source any particular tracks you require.
Nick is also able to provide a Quiz Night Package upon request.
