Rod began his career in Sound and Lighting at the tender age of 14 when he entered and won a London DJ competition. On leaving school Rod was awarded an apprenticeship with a leading Berkshire Television and Hi-fi Company, this appointment allowed him to attend college to obtain his City & Guilds certificate in electronics and still be able to DJ.
Rod was head hunted by several companies and was eventually cornered by the Orange group of companies based in Reading. As sales manager of this discotheque equipment based company the task was set to turn a small concern into one of the Country’s largest retailers.
Mission accomplished. In just 5 years Rod spearheaded the company to a 3 million pound annual turnover, twice Rod walked on stage to collect the Industries most sought after award, the PLASA "Retailer of the Year".
However, in 1996 with an ever increasing demand for Rod’s DJ talents, the decision was made to embark on a full-time career move into the spotlight. Since then, there has been no looking back and over the years thousands of delighted people have danced the night away at various society balls and corporate events with Rod in total control. Many of his clients are from the world of Showbiz and other celebrity circles.
