Jazz, Soul & Blues - From a duo to the full 9 piece band.

Combined with his vocal dexterity is his electric personality. Dynamic, powerful and soulful vocalist, he has performed all over the World with his band representing the best of UK jazz.

His voice resonates with raw energy and has been described as “a sublime mixture of gravel and honey”.

Gordon is comfortable performing the gentlest jazz ballad to powerful soul classics. He has the ability to light up the stage and engage with his audience in a way that makes you think he is singing just for you.

Gordon is an accomplished vocalist who began gigging at the age of 14, working the London East End pub circuit. He is now an exceptionally versatile performer/songwriter and has performed with internationally-renowned musicians in major venues throughout the USA Europe and Africa.

What makes Gordon so unique is the extensive range of styles that he covers as well as, his vocal expertise and delivery. Gordon is able to perform virtually anything from original material to jazz, blues, rat-pack and soul covers. From gentle ballads to powerful blues, he is definitely not just another “jazz singer”.

He performs for the occasion, with most tastes and ages catered for, Gordon performs with various line-ups from a duo up to the full 9-piece band.

Gordon has performed for The Royal Family, numerous MP's and a plethora of "A list" celebrities. He has performed with some of the finest jazz session musicians in the UK, including John Etheridge, Jim Mullen, Derek Nash, Julian Marc Stringle, Alan Barnes, Frank Mead and Dave Swift.

This CD is soaked in jazz feeling, played by technically immaculate musicians interpreting fine tunes in which those composed by the band leader/vocalist himself need fear no challenge. In the UK Gordon has previously performed at Royal Courts (Grand Hall), Dover St Wine Bar, Hilton Hotels, The Dorchester, The Savoy, The Grosvenor, Café Royal, The Festival Hall, The National Theatre, The Old Vic, Blackheath Concert Halls, The RAC (London), The Goldsmiths Hall, The 10 Rooms, Barracuda Casino.

He has also performed in the USA at The Blue Note, Sahara Sands, Golden Nugget and MGM in Las Vegas, The Green Mill in Chicago and The Hyatt in Texas amongst many other venues.

Gordon is able to provide any combination or number of musicians from a duo upwards. All prices quoted are for the duo, the prices increase proportionally as the band size increases.

The regular nine piece consists of known jazz session musicians and comprises; Guitar, Saxophones, Trumpet, Female Vocals, Double Bass / Bass Guitar, Drums / Percussion and Piano.

For more intimate venues however, Gordon is able to perform with a sole accompanist or as a trio, quartet or quintet.

Gordon can provide the complete package PA, Lights, music between sets and even a DJ.

Usualy, 2 x 50 minute sets but can adapt to clients requirements.
