Groovy Box boast an extensive repertoire and have vast experience at playing intimate low-key venues right through to large auditorium shows with named artists all over the world. Sandi Thom, Sam Brown, Chris De Burgh, Ian Paice, Steve Winwood and the Muffin Men to name but a few few in recent years. Latest tours include being a support act for the Pussycat Dolls.
The band consists of former LIPA students (the Paul McCartney endorsed Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts), and so quality is guaranteed.

Sara Walker, Liverpool Uni Vets Graduation Ball
Just wanted to send a note thanking you for a fab graduation party. The band were unbelievable - they turned up nice and early - and were set up without us even knowing. Groovy Box played a great mixture of music and were very receptive to requests from drunken members of staff! They even had our head of department dancing! We would highly reccomend Groovy Box and will be booking them again for next years ball! Thanks Again!
Groovy Box is a fantastic act with a vast list of credits to their name both individually and collectively. As a group Groovy Box have been utilised as the backing band for everyone from Sam Brown to Ruby Turner and Mike (Saxophone and Keyboards) toured with the Official Blues Brothers Show for several months as well as Sax Assault, Mica Paris and The Muffin Men.
Additional members of the group have also worked with Sandi Thom, Marcus Bonfanti, The Christians, China Crisis, Black, Kid Creole and the Coconuts and Craig David.
Groovy Box is a fantastic versatile act also able to offer many additional extras for your event.
• Saxophone Option – Ideal for Drink / Cocktail Receptions or during Dinner
Saxophonist, Mike, is able to perform either in a solo capacity to backing tracks or as a duo option with Guitar or Keyboard accompaniment. As well as performing at Weddings, Private Parties and Private functions, Mike works as a session musician, playing Keyboards and Saxophone for a multitude of bands and artists.
• DJ option
Whilst the group offer background iPod/ CD music before, between and after their sets as standard they are also happy to offer a personalised DJ service for a small additional cost.
• First Dance/ Personalised song request
Groovy Box are happy to accommodate requests wherever possible. In addition, provided adequate notice is given they are happy to learn first dance requests so long as they fall within a suitable style for the group.
