Working extensively throughout Europe and the UK since 1985, Luisa has shown her talent at all manner of private and public functions, producing 12 - 15 caricatures per hour. During her European travels, she made a four month daily TV appearance, in which she sketched celebrities while they were being interviewed, including HRH Prince Phillip of Spain.
Whatever the event, Luisa entertains with originality, imagination, style and charm. The perfect ice-breaker to draw people together. Sir Trevor MacDonald was the guest speaker at an awards dinner held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane. True to form he was a real gentleman and his caricature was very well received!
The BBC were quick to spot Luisa's ability, and commissioned her work for various productions including 'Jonathan Creek', 'One foot in the Grave' and 'Beasts'.
She has also appeared in front of the BBC cameras when interviewed about her work, and she produced the magnificent mural for the National Television Awards 2000 at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Although I have quoted for 2 hours, I usually stay longer as the caricatures are so popular, (and I'm enjoying myself!) so 3 hours would be usual - I like to get lots of people drawn! Same fee as quoted on web site.

Luisa draws people together with her fun cartoons of your guests at the drinks reception and wedding breakfast. Luisa's ever present smile and wicked sense of humour make her a top choice for wedding reception entertainment - book early to avoid disappointment!
Luisa starts at the beginning of the drinks reception and then 'table-hops' at the wedding breakfast - usually a 3 hour booking. Each caricature takes only 5 minutes - approx 12-15 caricatures per hour. Everyone is drawn on the top table, some of whom may have already been drawn during the reception and Luisa then draws some at each table around the room, so that every table is entertained by the caricatures.
You can even have personalised paper for the caricatures, e.g. Liz & Tom's Wedding and the date, so that when your guests frame their caricatures, they will have a reminder of the occasion. All caricatures are presented to the guests in high quality 'spill proof' plastic sleeves.
Luisa can also produce A4 colour 'bride & groom' caricatures from photos, complete with the wedding reception venue in the background, (just send photos by e-mail as jpeg attachments) for invitations with a difference!
There are two different times that work extremely well - either during the drinks reception and then on to wedding breakfast, or during the evening reception.
Luisa starts at the beginning of the drinks reception entertaining your guests whilst the photos are being taken and then 'table-hops' at the wedding breakfast - usually a 3 hour booking. In Luisa's experience a 3 hour booking is ideal (and preferable to 2 hours), as it's worth noting that a lot of the guests will be very keen to be drawn. Each caricature takes no more than 5 minutes. Every person on the top table will be drawn - a double of the bride & groom and singles (or doubles if requested) of the remaining top table guests. Luisa then draws some at each table around the room, so that every table is entertained by the caricatures, if the timings allow. As many caricatures as possible are drawn during the 3 hours (usually approx 40). Of course, there will be those that do not want to be drawn - just as, with the band, not everyone will want to go up on the dance floor, but they always still enjoy being part of a fun atmosphere and experience and enjoy watching and seeing their family and friend’s caricatures as they are shown around.
The caricatures also create excellent entertainment at the evening reception - it's great to create a 'caricature corner' where the guests can sit and watch the caricatures being drawn and join in the banter and fun atmosphere. As each caricature only takes 5 minutes you get a lively changing crowd throughout the evening. This also provides the caricaturist with the ideal working conditions - good angle/light/sociable atmosphere etc - which can all add up to produce an even higher quality of work and faster turnover of caricatures.
