Oliver astounds audiences with his feather-like touch and soulful voice which have become a trademark of his art.

Oliver has one simple rule - if it is a good tune, he will play it. In one event he can cover Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Wonder, Joel, Manilow, The Beatles, Elvis - the list goes on.

*Make no mistake, there's no room for passengers in Oliver's repertoire. Every tune is a winner*

Born into a musical family, Oliver started playing clarinet aged nine in his school's concert band, touring France and Belgium to much acclaim. Coming to the piano relatively late (aged 13) he soon formed groups with other young musicians playing classic swing tracks and pop numbers of the day. As a soloist, gigs in local restaurants and hotels helped to supplement his pocket money ("washing cars always seemed too much like hard work!").

In 1982, he entered "Best Young Pop Pianist" competition, achieving 3rd place at Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall, a feat made all the more impressive when one considers he had only been playing for two years.

In 1984, Oliver joins local group "National Pastime" (on bass and vocals) and supports "Kajagoogoo" on their 1984 "Islands Tour". National Pastime also enjoys success abroad scoring a top twenty hit (10,000 record sales) in Japan as well as successful tours of Japan and Germany. Apparently, you can still get the records on eBay! By 1986 musical differences split the band and Oliver returned to what he does best - singing and playing the piano.

By 1995 Oliver’s reputation is such that he secures a coveted residency at London's Ritz Hotel. It is here he honed his craft to near perfection and entertains a whole host of Royalty, stars and celebrities including:

The Queen & Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Charles & Camilla, Brian May, Rod Stewart, Neil Sedaka, Andrew Lloyd Webber, John Cleese, Sean Connery, Madonna, Cliff Richard, Tony & Cherie Blair… to name but a few!

Since leaving the Ritz in 2002, Oliver's reputation has continued to grow through performing at events, weddings, parties and awards ceremonies at venues such as The Savoy, The Dorchester, the Royal Lancaster, Brocket Hall and Claridges to critical acclaim.

Now residing in Hampshire Oliver's engagements take him to all parts of the country where he entertains, astounds and spreads joy and happiness in equal measures.

Wedding Entertainment: Oliver can provide the most beautiful music for your wedding, ceremony and reception. He performs at many weddings every year. Oliver is all you need to ensure your ceremony is a memorable, musical occasion. He plays music for your entrance, signing the register and exit plus any other incidental music.

He provides state of the art equipment and sets up discreetly in your venue. In order to assist you in selecting your special music Oliver has produced a free CD entitled "Romantic Melodies" containing excerpts of his most requested melodies.

As well as all the traditional tunes you can think of he will play “your tune” and give the whole event an individual, personalised, joyous and highly intimate atmosphere.

... then, after the formalities of your ceremony and the sounds of laughter and congratulations fill the air, Oliver eases up the tempo into his much admired Swing Set. This comprises all the great tunes of Sinatra, Nat King Cole etc. and tuneful pop (think Elton, Stevie, Manilow, Robbie, etc.) that appeal to young and old alike and really makes your champagne reception and breakfast a truly memorable occasion.

Many brides and grooms have been delighted with the warm, exciting, buzzing atmosphere created at their reception by Oliver's performance. Oliver's repertoire is broad enough to cater for all ages and tastes. You can select all your music, just a few favourites or leave it entirely up to Oliver – the choice is yours!

Private Parties: Oliver entertains at many private parties ranging from intimate dinners to huge family gatherings and everything in between. Oliver's vast experience in playing for intimate dinners means that he is attuned exactly to your guests needs. If the conversation is subdued and intimate he plays soft, soothing music at the correct volume. If the level of talking rises and there is laughter in the air - so his tunes reflect the mood of the evening.

From the soft, moody, tinkling of beautiful melodies to the swinging numbers of Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole, Oliver will add that magic touch to your dinner.

Not everyone likes the sound of a banging disco at a party but everyone likes the sound of a live pianist/ singer who can cater for most people’s tastes. Oliver is that entertainer.

In one evening he can cover Sinatra's "Fly Me to the Moon" and "Come Fly With Me" and bang-up-to-date Robbie Williams' "Rock DJ" and Craig David’s “7 Days”. Somewhere in between all that he finds time for Elton's "Crocodile Rock" and Billy Joel's "Piano Man" …the list goes on!

No piano at venue? No problem. Oliver will bring his own keyboard (sounds like the real thing) or we can arrange piano hire if you so wish. All other equipment is supplied by us and part of the all-inclusive price.
