The story so far..... Raise is a highly experienced young duo. The London based, affordable live duo perform regularly in venues and at parties across London, the UK, and even Europe. Since graduating from university in 2005 Raise Acoustic Duo earn a living performing as a quality live music act for birthday parties, weddings, and also corporate events such as Christmas and Summer Parties. Never failing to impress, Raise Acoustic Duo have proved themselves to be a high quality, London based live acoustic duo.
In essence, Raise Acoustic Duo consist of a Pianist (Richard ) and a guitar player/ vocals (Dave), However, their sound includes mandolin parts, harmonica, and backing vocals. Raise achieve a rich, full sound unrivalled by most small bands.
London is where the live duo is based and where they perform the majority of their gigs; but the affordable acoustic duo will travel anywhere to play. Having established the duo whilst studying at university, Dave and Rich managed to fund their way through their university life by playing live in local pubs and clubs in London and the surrounding area. ‘Raise Acoustic Duo’ gained more and more experience and improved their repertoire so much so that by the time they graduated university in 2005 they went professional. They secured different residencies in Carnaby Street, Soho and South Kensington, and began spreading farther than just London and the South East playing all over the UK and as far away as Switzerland.
As well as these residencies ‘Raise’ performed in many other bars and also performed at many private parties and corporate events. Having established many contacts whilst performing at the 'Blue Balls Festival 2004' in Switzerland (as Hanger Lane), the London based duo now perform three to four times per year in Switzerland at separate corporate parties, private parties and club gigs.

I'd like to take this opportunity to say what a fantastic group Raise are. We hired them for a 30th birthday party with about 75 guests in attendance and everyone thought they were really professional and very talented. Dave's extremely confident on the guitar and has a great voice to go with it. Rich's piano was outstanding and he even did a few solo jams which the guests loved. What was particularly impressive was the huge selection of both new and classic music that they performed. The balance and timing of the songs during the night created a great atmosphere and Dave and Rich looked like they were enjoying playing for us. Please pass on my thanks to Dave and Rich. We will definitely be recommending them in the future.
