Steel Band City is a Manchester Based set up, whose players between them have over 50 years of experience playing the pan.
Specialists in Weddings, Caribbean evenings, and formal and informal functions, this band have played all over the country, even venturing as far as Paris and Barcelona. Although the band’s repertoire includes all the well known traditional islands songs, they also play a mixture of Latin and Pop music.
The music is arranged in an innovative style but without losing the classic steel pan sound, with jazzy chords and improvisations adding spice throughout.

Q: How big is the band?
A: In total there are 9 players, but we rarely go out as more than a trio
Q: How many players do I need?
A: As a general rule, 3 is the magic number. It's our most versatile set up. If your venue is expecially large, or is there will be more than 200 - 250 people in attendance, why not speak to Warble to find out if you may need a PA. We are available as a duo and as a soloist with backing tracks for events with tighter budgets. Ask Warble for advice.
