The Current are a young and energetic 4 piece band that provide an eclectic selection of modern and classic rock covers ranging from The Beatles to Kings of Leon, Stevie Wonder to Jazon Mraz as well as their own 'rocky mash-ups' of current R'n'B / Pop artists such as Tinie Tempah, Jason Derulo and B.o.B - and almost everything else in between! The Current are able to adapt to all environments, liven up and entertain any occasion from weddings and corporate functions to university balls and private festivals!

The Current are a professional 4 piece band comprising highly experienced, versatile and talented musicians. With an average age of just 24, it's hard to believe that between them they have travelled all over Europe and the UK and worked within almost every sector of the music industry, including both studio & live engineering, record production, events management, private tutoring and as instrumental technicians!

Having formed whilst studying at university, between them the Current hold 3 bachelor honorary degrees and one masters degree in music. All members are multi-instrumentalists with the ability to play at least 2 separate instruments to a high standard as well as having a strong and secure vocal ability.

Their combined performing experiences has seen them working in many different original and cover bands, cabaret acts, musical theatre productions, as product demonstrators and as session musicians covering live, studio and TV environments.

With such a versatile and diverse range of songs, The Current are able to adapt to any situation and their vast knowledge, talent and experience provides everyone with an energetic and enjoyable performance for those who like to sit back and enjoy the extreme level of musicianship or for those who like to interact, sing, dance and party the night through. Their lively, charismatic stage mannerisms make them one of the most exciting and enjoyable bands to hire, guaranteeing a memorable and explosive experience for all.

Dear Tracey, We have finally got around to thanking everyone that made our wedding day the most special day ever. The Current were fantastic from start to finish. We weren't able to watch them prior to booking and so we were a little apprehensive, but from the first time I spoke to Travis he set my mind at ease. They were so easy going, nothing seemed a problem and there main concern was us having the best time and everything being perfect. On the day everything went exactly to plan and they sounded amazing. Everyone commented on how good they were. They played everything we asked, even when they had doubts about how well it would go down. Their repertoire was phenomenal and they performed everything superbly. We would recommend The Current to anyone who asked, and couldn't speak more highly of them. They were professional, friendly and took the stress of organising the music away (actually picking a band had probably been one of the most stressful parts for us, but we needn't have worried in the end). Thank you and all the guys in the band so much for helping to make our wedding perfect.

The Current were absolutely amazing!! They completely made our wedding. The guys were relaxed, fun and hugely entertaining, I cannot express how fantastic they were, from getting up at some ridiculous time in the morning to drive all the way to Devon in time to sound check before guests arrived, to playing way beyond the time we had planned for. Just fantastic. They rocked our venue and even our photographer stayed and moshed to Nirvana until 1.30am!! He's said he has never experienced a wedding band like them!! Our guests also said how awesome they thought they were. Thank you to Rob and the guys for making our wedding the most memorable and fantastic day ever.

Hi Tracey, Just a quick email to give you some feedback on The Current who played at my 40th birthday party last night. I really can't sing their praises highly enough. They sounded amazing, they were polite, charming and eager to please. They interacted with the audience well and seemed to genuinely be enjoying playing for us. We had a few issues with noise levels, the pub landlord was concerned as it is in a residential area. The landlord made a real nuisance of himself all evening and really wasn't terribly pleasant at times. He insisted we keep all the windows shut which made the room very hot and stuffy, particularly for the band. However, despite all this they didn't complain once and did everything they could to work through the problems and keep everybody happy. Everyone at the party without exception said how great they were and we even had a few gatecrashers who had heard them playing from downstairs and wanted to hear more! I'm so completely delighted with the choice I made, they exceeded my expectations by a mile. I go to see a lot of live music and I can honestly say that they play as well as, if not better than some well known acts. Thank you for putting me in touch with them, my party was brilliant and that was largely due to them!

This band were incredible! They were highly professional at all times with quick set-up and sound checked with consideration to the venues needs. This was my 65th birthday party and because of the varied age of my family and friends I needed a band who could cater for everyones tastes. They sure did that. I am a big big fan of the Beatles, Kiss and Queen and the younger generations such as My daughters and grandchildren are into all the modern artists like Kings of Leon. They gave my guests so much enjoyment and gave a fantastic performance. Easily the best rock covers band I have seen. Pleasant, polite, enthusiastic, professional and extremely talented. We hired the Current to play at our wedding party and they were amazing!! We hadn't seen them preform before the party so we were unsure what to expect from them but was extremelly pleased with their set! When photographing weddings I get to see and do a lot of cool things. But on Saturday something happened that I think will take a long time to beat. The band (The Current) were rocking out with some great tunes. In between songs the singer pretty much demanded that I put down my camera and get on the dance floor. Then came the opening riff from Smells like teen spirit. I have never seen let alone been part of a wedding rocking so hard. A first for me... What a night, what a wedding.
