The band’s vision was to achieve this, not only without the use of sequencers, backing tracks or sheet music, but also with a line-up of just 5 members, making them notably more affordable to clients over comparable bands covering similar material.
Over 30 auditions were held to seek out only the Midland's premiere professional soul musicians and singers - the resulting line-up features five guys all aged under 35, but with a combined total of over 80 years musical experience! The band's repertoire of well-known songs is guaranteed to get any crowd singing & dancing, and because of the eclectic mix of catchy, funky, soulful & rockin' tunes from across the past five decades, there's bound to be something for everyone!
The band provides a full 1600w PA system, and a lighting rig with moving scanners, to make sure your night goes off with a bang! The Doubles can also provide a variety of music from an iPod between sets, or you are welcome to bring your own to play through their PA. As Musicians Union members, the band are fully insured for public liability cover, and all equipment is PAT tested in line with current regulations.
