The Downloads are an all male versatile 4 piece band who perform across the Midlands. The guys can offer classic rock, soul, pop, disco and funk covers from the last 5 decades.

The band is friendly and professional and as experienced musicians never fail to perform a great show. Experienced in many events including parties, corporate functions, opening nights and weddings.

The band is friendly and professional and as experienced musicians never fail to perform a great show. Experienced in many events including parties, corporate functions, opening nights and weddings, The Downloads are the perfect choice for all your special occasions!

Consisting of some of the Midlands finest musicians the bands members have a massive amount of live experience playing in venues across the UK.

Nick
Nick is a powerfull and talented singer. Having worked with some of the Midlands top function/covers bands, Nick can smoothly adapt to many styles and Genres. Nick has had success reaching the final 50 contestants of ITV's 2005 X-Factor. After facing Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh, Nick was invited to London "boot camp" but sadly didn't make the final 3.

Darren
Darren is a qualified school music teacher, songwriter and musician. He teaches guitar and keyboard privately and plays bass in the band. As well as a great deal of experience performing live Darren has band management experience and used to work for Universal Music in London.

James
James is an exceptional guitarist with a wealth of experience performing & recording throughout the UK and also the US. James studied at the Academy of Contemporary music in Guildford.

Geoff
Geoff is an acclaimed drummer / percussionist who has taught and performed throughout the UK and the USA. Geoff teaches kit and has performed with various bands, ensembles around the world.

Mike and Annette, Private Party
The Downloads recently played at our housewarming party in the South East of England. They were excellent. Their brilliance showed when they performed a variety of requested 60’s blues/rock numbers and made our party for us! They also played many other well-liked pop, soul and disco numbers, including the latest hits. The atmosphere was great, over 100 guests decided The Downloads to be the best band they had heard for a long time and it showed in the dancing! The Downloads also demonstrated their musical ability and talents when two guests, one of whom who happens to be professional singer in a major West End production, performed a number of songs with the band. The outcome was fantastic but did not in any way outdo the band’s own excellent lead singer who has real presence. We would heartily recommend The Downloads for just about any type of party as they have the ability to play all kinds of music to an excellent standard and they will make your party a huge success too!

Mike Harris, Wedding
I recently booked The Downloads for our wedding, as my wife and I had seen them play previously at the Royal Hotel in Sutton Coldfield and thought they’d be ideal for our evening function. After chatting to the band, and explaining the set up for the evening function, they were fully co-operative, extremely friendly, approachable and able to accommodate our requests. From speaking to the guys in the band it is quite apparent that they are dedicated and very professional. If you want a band to get a crowd going then The Downloads are that band! What can I say The Downloads delivered! The band played two 60 minutes sets either side of the buffet, comprising of a selection of pop, rock, soul, disco and funk hit songs from the 1950’s right through to the present day, which was fantastic as there was something there for everyone. It was fantastic to see a really good talented band play in such a small venue. All our guests thoroughly enjoyed the bands performance and I would guess that the band enjoyed our guests’ reaction to them also. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking for a hard working function band to entertain their guests at a wedding or function! Thank you very much guys for making our special day that little bit more special, you’ve given us some fantastic memories. Well done guys, we look forward to seeing you play again soon, all the best!

Ryan Holford Wyss, Clavstock Music Festival
The Downloads headlining at Clavstock this year brought the masses to their feet. Including in their set classics from the rock and roll era through to modern indie giants The Stereophonics. Giving the crowd exactly what they wanted the Shakers left the stage with an audience yearning them to play until dawn. A first for Clavstock and almost a must for festivals and future Clavstocks to come!

Since forming in 2005 The Downloads have gained experience in many events including: Weddings, Corporate Events, Private Functions, Award Presentations, Christmas Parties, Charity Events, Festivals, Birthday Parties... And more!

The band offer 2 sets of 45 - 60 minutes and an encore or two, but can play for 2 x 60 min's if specifically requested... that’s over 2 hours of fantastic live music!
