The Getbacks are a stylish and energetic covers band from Liverpool, comprising of some of the city’s most talented & experienced musicians, performing the best and most loved rock, pop, soul and indie from the 50s to present day.
A five-piece, their accomplished singers alternate lead and share tight harmonies to provide a big, versatile vocal sound, with keyboards, electric and acoustic guitars helping to recreate a wide range of classic hits.
Their aim is simple – to fill your dance-floor, delight your guests of all ages, and help make your event fantastically memorable!
To do this, The Getbacks will typically belt out 50s & 60s rock & roll, beat group and soul classics from acts such as Chuck Berry, The Kinks, The Beatles, Sam & Dave. They move through triumphant, storming hits from the 80s, 90s & 00s - from the likes of Prince, Bruce Springsteen, Blur, Oasis, Pulp, The Killers, Kings of Leon - to their euphoric closing section, consisting of party favourites and emotional sing-alongs from all eras!
The Getbacks provide all sound equipment and atmospheric lighting, and can provide a tailored MP3 playlist to keep your party jumping through the interval.

Q - You offer various line-up options – can you talk me through them?
A - The options are there to cater for more low-key events, or for parts of an event. Maybe you want music for an intimate party, a drinks reception, during dinner, to entertain guests during the taking of photographs, for a post-reception party, and so on.
Trio – Andy and Damien will provide vocals, acoustic guitar and/or piano, playing laid-back versions of classic tunes. You can choose to have them accompanied by Mike on electric guitar, or David on bass.
Duo – Andy and Damien will provide vocals, over acoustic and/or piano accompaniment, according to your preference.
Solos – Andy will play acoustic guitar and sing for your guests, or Damien will play piano in the background.
Each option is priced appropriately, and, as each can be booked on their own, as well as in addition to the full band package, they are ideal for both the smaller and larger budget.
Q - What does the playlist service entail?
A - We will put together an MP3 playlist of road-tested party favourites, which we will play over our PA system, to entertain your guest before & after the band set, and during the interval, for no additional cost.
Q - Can we request songs?
A - Yes – feel free! We will attempt to accommodate a reasonable number of requests into our band set, given at least 4 week’s notice. We will accommodate as many requests as we can into our playlist set.
Q - Will you play our first dance for us?
A - Yes, if it’s a song appropriate to our sound. A first dance is a special moment, and deserves a perfect performance - if we feel that we can do just service to your request, we will perform it without hesitation! If we cannot play your first dance as a band, then we will play it as an MP3 over our PA.
Q - Can a friend / family member perform with the band?
A - Yes. For reasons of efficiency, equipment, quality and safety, we must insist that this be arranged in advance, and that performers are limited in number, and adhere to what has been agreed. We also strongly prefer that they be trained and/or experienced, capable singers/musicians. But, if you get in touch, we can discuss it.
Q - Our venue is large / small / a marquee etc – will this be a problem?
A - No. Our current PA has proven more than adequate for small halls, large rooms, marquees and intimate venues, and we can provide a larger PA should it be required.
Q - Will you set up early / stay late?
A – Yes, I’m sure we can come to an arrangement.
Q - Are there any health & safety issues we should be aware of?
A – Not with us - all our equipment is UK PAT certified and we have full Public Liability Insurance.
Q - Our venue has a limiter – will that be a problem?
A – No, but thanks for letting us know in advance.
Q – What about riders, access, space, mains provision on the day?
A – Our rider requirements are standard – a room in which to change, food of some kind, tea, coffee, water.
Your venue should take care of the rest, but just in case: we require parking for a van, and reasonably close access to the function room; the full band requires an area of 3m x 4m of space; we require access to a minimum of two mains sockets.
The Getbacks typically perform 2 x 60 minute sets, but are flexible upto & including the night of the event, so if you want something different, just ask!
The Getbacks can also offer various options to provide music during the daytime and even after party, e.g. stripped down, ‘Live Lounge’ style acoustic set and ambient solo piano.
