The Getbacks is an outstanding band from Liverpool, comprising of some of the city’s most experienced and talented musicians, performing the best and most loved rock, pop, soul and indie from the 50s to present day – with particular specialism for 80s & 90s pop, Britpop, indie and rock!
A five-piece, their three accomplished singers alternate lead and share tight harmonies to provide a big, versatile vocal sound, with keyboards, electric and acoustic guitars helping to recreate a wide range of crowd-pleasing floor fillers. The Getbacks’s members have performed in leading venues all over the UK and Europe supporting the likes of Kaiser Chiefs, The Libertines, The Buzzocks, The Stranglers, Juliet Lewis and even Tony Christie, and have worked in studio with Grammy Award wining producers of acts such as The Strokes, Aerosmith, Shania Twain and Ray Davies. Together they have recently appeared on BBC Radio Merseyside, and have vast experience of playing weddings and private events of all shapes and sizes.
The Getbacks’s aim is simple – to fill your dancefloor, delight your guests and help make your event fantastically memorable. To do this, this energetic, stylish band belt out 80s & 90s pop from acts such as U2, Prince, Deacon Blue, Blur, Oasis and Ocean Colour Scene, classic hits from the likes of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones & Otis Redding, right through to recent smashes from Amy Winehouse, The Killers, The Arctic Monkeys, Take That and more, ensuring that guests of all ages will be strutting their stuff!

The Getbacks provided evening entertainment for our wedding recently, the performance was a roaring success. We enquired following enjoying their performance at another event and were thrilled with the approachability and communication we enjoyed throughout the planning stage. We planned a special first dance and the band were good enough to learn the song to play for us, rather than having to rely on a CD, which gave us a much more personal experience. They were also good enough to allow a family member to join in with the performance! The song list was broad and fit our requirements and tastes perfectly.
