Formed in 1994 The Runners are a powerful and exciting Soul and Disco band featuring experienced musicians from a wide variety of backgrounds. In addition to performing at venues throughout the UK for weddings, festivals, corporate and private functions, they have held a long standing residency at The Dover Street Restaurant and Wine Bar, a venue which features many of London’s leading jazz, soul and funk acts. They always provide an exhilarating set which never fails to put feet on the dance floor.

Dear Matt, The wedding was both memorable and enjoyable, Nick and I would like to extend our thanks to the harpist Audrey Finnemore, a superb musician! The Runners were a success also, and our guests much appreciated the high standard of music provided by this truly superb band.
Members of the band have worked with some of the industry’s finest musicians, including: David Byrne, Mervyn Africa, John Etheridge, Digby Fairweather, Lol Coxhill, Roger Beaujolais and Edwin Starr. They have also been involved in several successful projects including: Morcheeba, Toploader, and The Grand Union Orchestra.
As well as providing a powerful soul and disco set, The Runners band are able to play a variety of musical styles ranging from Jazz and Blues through to Pop. Additionally, the band can be scaled down to suit your requirements.
