Not what I had expected from a Harpist! Fun, friendly and enthusiastic - you played all the modern pieces that we wanted and bent over backwards to accommodate requests on the day as well. Your playing was exquisite and your bubbly personality shone through to bring a real ray of sunshine to our special day. I'm trying to get all my friends to get married so that they can have you play for them too!

Weddings: So, you have chosen the date and venue, what could be more atmospheric and original than having a harpist to entertain you and your guests?
• Ceremony
30 minutes before the ceremony, The Sussex Harpist will play quietly in the background, as guests arrive and settle. Then, the entrance of the bride - this is a selected piece of music discussed beforehand and is played until the bride reaches the alter. During the signing of the register, 2 to 3 pieces of selected music are played. Then The Sussex Harpist plays whilst the married happy couple make their exit.
• Drinks Reception
Light background music - this can be purely classical, or upbeat, and more recognisable pieces of modern music can be played. The choice is yours. Sometimes, guests approach The Sussex Harpist with questions regarding the harp, which she is more than happy to answer for them.
• Wedding Breakfast
Whilst guests settle into their designated places and are commencing their meal, you will find the harp provides a perfect atmosphere. Inevitably, you will have people who are meeting each other for the first time and the harp can be a good focal point for conversation. The Sussex Harpist finishes her performance 10 minutes before the speeches are due to start. This is to minimise disruption and to allow a discreet exit for both herself and the harp.
• Twilight Package:
This is most suitable for when subtle yet entertaining evening entertainment is wanted. It can be as interactive with the guests as the client would like, or, The Sussex Harpist can play quietly in the background as guests settle with their drinks for the evening.
Corporate Events:
The Sussex Harpist has played for many corporate occasions for a wide variety of clients, ranging from car and new product launches through to intimate business dinners and Christmas parties.
