Neil first picked up the microphone at a local karaoke show in 2001. Shortly after, Neil narrowly missed a place on Granada TV's 'Stars in their Eyes' to perform a UB40 song.
Neil then formed a reggae covers band which had huge local and national success performing at major festivals and huge sellout gigs. Highlights were to perform with 90's reggae chartopper Pato Banton and one of the UK's finest reggae bands Misty in Roots.
