The Union Street Band is a young and vibrant, London based function band playing Soul, Disco, Funk, Jazz, Rock, Pop and more! The group is available to hire for private and corporate parties and events.

*A fantastic cool young group who also offer a Horn Section or Duo and Trio and DJ options*

The Union Street Band is a London based function band playing Soul, Disco, Funk, Jazz, Rock, Pop and more! The band has one of the largest repertoires of any function band in the UK and are available to hire for private and corporate parties and events.

The band is comprised of six young and talented musicians who met whilst studying at The London Centre of Contemporary Music. After forming in November 2007, they have been regularly entertaining crowds at t clubs and functions across the UK and beyond. They recently returned from 5 months in the Caribbean and Mediterranean aboard Princess Cruise's flagship the Ruby Princess where there performances met with rave reviews.

Away from their duties with Union Street the band members are in demand musicians some of the famous acts they have worked with include George Clinton, Rihanna, Sheryl Crow, Omar, Odyssey and more!

With a huge repertoire of popular hits ranging from Modern classics from the likes of Beyonce and the Kings of Leon, going back through dance floor shaking Disco and Funk, and classics from the 50s, 60s 70s and 80s. Union Street comes fully equipped and ready to go with their own PA and lighting rig.

My wife and I, and all our guests thought Union Street were absolutely superb when they played at our wedding in Cumbria in September 2011. They were extremely responsive to all of our questions in the run-up to the day, and were always polite and courteous. We really appreciated them giving us the chance to choose the bulk of the songs they would play, so we could tailor the music to what we knew would get our guests jumping. We were also really touched that the band learnt not one, but two First Dance songs for us - we felt that they went "above and beyond" in this way to make our evening special. The band arrived at the venue in good time, and - as far as I'm aware - set up quickly and efficiently. From the moment they started playing, until the last song, the dancefloor was packed - my wife and I kept wanting to leave to go and chat to our guests, but the songs were so good we just didn't want to tear ourselves away! Special mention to their cover of Rhianna's Umbrella, which put a different twist on the song, and was awesome, really showing off the lead singer's vocal talents. We also took advantage of Union Street's DJ service, and that was really good too - the DJ was more than happy to play our guest's requests after Union Street had finished, and that was much appreciated. Pretty much everyone we've spoken to about the day said what fun the reception was, and how good the band were - so thanks, Union Street I looked at quite a few bands before choosing them, and what swayed it for me was the fact they had a live video up, and they looked like they could actually do it live - I'm delighted to say that I definitely wasn't wrong!

Absolutely fantastic! You made my night! I can't thank you enough for the excellent set at my 40th Birthday Party on Saturday. Nearly everyone at the party asked "where did you get the band - they're amazing!!!" - so I told them.
