Helen & Adrian booked Renegades Of Rock for their Rocking Ross-on-Wye wedding.
What was your best single moment of the whole day?
Best moment was saying our wedding vows to each other. We actually wrote our own vows and had said them to one another in a 18th century church in North Wales 6 months ago, with no electricity and just candles.
Why did you pick your venue?
Our first date was in Symonds Yat and we had watched the sunset over the River Wye. Since then it has become a special place to us.
Did you have a specific style or theme for your big day?
No theme, just informal and fun.
How did you hear about the act?
Through the Warble website that had been recommended by another band who was not available.
What did they bring to your day?
Our day had been a romantic and fun day, and it needed to continue with the relaxed and wonderful atmosphere that had been with us all day. The band brought fun, amazing sounds and not just a disco that people give up on half way through the evening. Everybody was up dancing to every piece they played.
Did you have a first dance song and what was it?
Our first dance was Take That – Flaws. We have both been married before and this song basically says “take me with all my flaws”. We even had dancing lessons and surprised our guests with a Waltz. Adrian broke his Collar bone a few weeks before so we had to adapt it but it was brilliant to shock a few people. The band provided the disco part for the dance which saved an additional cost.
Where did you draw inspiration or find suppliers for your wedding?
We organised our wedding in 3 months and it was the easiest thing to do. Helen is an organised person and took these tasks online mostly; she knew what she was after from the start and there was no stress at all.
What did you think of the service provided by Warble?
Great service from Warble, good communication and provided all the information we needed straight away.
Best piece of advice for other couples planning their wedding?
Don’t stress about things. What will be will be. We had a flower issue the day before and our florists were fantastic and organised something else for us. I could have been cross, but why worry about a few minor changes in your plans. its about marrying the person you love, not totally about what flowers you should of had.
Looking back is there anything you would change?
Absolutely nothing. We really did have a perfect day. People are saying it was one of the most emotional and romantic days ever.
