Katie & Mark’s Wedding with Saint

Katie and Mark booked Saint for their evening reception at Cressing Temple Barns and have kindly agreed to share some insights from their beautiful day!

‘Saint had the barn full of dancers from every generation the whole night long!’

Its really hard to pick a favourite moment from the whole day, we genuinely did love every minute. There was an hour or so in between the wedding breakfast and the evening entertainment where guests relaxed on the lawns and benches outside the barns. The sun had come out and it was a lovely opportunity for us to speak to everyone. It felt like a ‘bonus’ part of the day-we hadn’t planned it but everyone was enjoying themselves so much we brought the cake outside!

We only looked at two venues and decided on Cressing Temple Barns as soon as we saw it. We liked that we could hold the whole day there including the ceremony and that the barns themselves while beautiful are a blank canvass-we could really see how we could make the day personal to us. Photography is important to us and we could instantly see the potential of the walled garden and old buildings at the site.

We knew nothing about Saint other than what was on the website! They had good reviews, a sound bite of a Taylor Swift cover and so we booked them. I’m so glad we did, they were fantastic, and were not phased at all when we asked them to play in a large shed!

The set up of our evening do was slightly odd – the band played in a barn and guests that weren’t dancing mingled by the bar outside. I had worried that if people didn’t dance then the band would feel like they were playing to themselves. I needn’t have worried, Saint had the barn full of dancers from every generation the whole night long! They really did play songs to suit all and and the whole evening felt very personal to us.

Our first dance was ‘Make You Feel My Love’ by Bob Dylan going into ‘Teardrops’ by Womack and Womack. We didn’t realise that the band would actually perform the songs and this was a nice surprise.

We came across Warble on Google when searching for a band. The process was easy and stress free and staff at Warble were able to quickly answer any questions we had.
