We were so happy to see that Lisa and Victor had a great time with incredible wedding and party band, The Volume. The historic setting of Hedingham Castle looks spectactular! Lisa and Victor have kindly provided some of their favourite moments from the day, their experience with the band and some useful tips…
What was your best single moment of the whole day?
Lisa – Two moments for me. When my dad saw me for the first time and then when I was walking down the aisle, to Victor and not feeling as nervous as I thought I would be.

Why did you pick your venue?
We were looking for a historic venue in Essex where I am originally from and we found Hedingham Castle. We fell in love with it straight away. We looked a couple of other venues but it always came back to Hedingham. Plus, how many people can say they got married in a castle!?
Did you have a specific style or theme for your big day?
No specific theme as such, our colour theme was Navy. My husband is from Brazil so we had a few nods to that, including getting some Brigadieros (Brazilian sweets) and our cake and a travel theme too.
How did you hear about the act?
We had decided straight away that we wanted a band, one that played lots of different types of music and came across The Volume. They were the exact thing we were looking for!
What did they bring to your day?
They were fun, talented and they just made the party element of the day that much more entertaining. Everyone was enjoying their performance and getting up and dancing.
Did you have a first dance song and what was it?
Our first dance was “Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey. We asked the band if they could begin by playing a stripped down acoustic version to start and then go full instruments, which they did and it was perfect – exactly what we wanted.
Where did you draw inspiration or find suppliers for your wedding?
Aside from the band all of the suppliers were from the castle. Every single one of them delivered exactly what we wanted. I couldn’t pick one as we were so happy with everything!
What did you think of the service provided by Warble?
I could’t fault the service with Warble, they were consistent in their communication and everything ran so smoothly.
Best piece of advice for other couples planning their wedding?
I would take the time to think about what it is you really want. It’s very easy to get swept up in other peoples ideas and suggestions which can make everything overwhelming.
Looking back is there anything you would change?
As it is, I wouldn’t change a thing. It was literally the perfect day!
