We’re very excited to share this beautiful wedding with you as it combines one of our favourite bands with one of our favourite venues… And, of course, a beautiful couple who’s main aim for their wedding was for their guests to eat great food and have lots of fun. What more could you want?!<\/p>\n

Tell Us A Bit About Yourselves<\/h2>\n

Myself and Matt met at work when I joined Bauer Media and we sat next to each other (Matt is the Head of Commercial Reporting and I\u2019m a Senior Business Analyst for Kiss FM, Absolute Radio, Magic, Heat, Planet Rock, Kerrang and Wave Radio.) Over 18 months we became close friends and went regularly for food and drink until Matt asked me out! From that moment on we didn\u2019t look back and it felt so normal to be a couple. Within a couple of months we both knew that we would it was the best decision to go from friends to partners and that was our dating lives over!<\/p>\n

Within 2 months of dating Matt had moved in to the house I was living with friends for a couple of months before we moved to our own place in Crystal Palace. We no longer work in the same office which helps!<\/p>\n

We both love food and drink and love nothing more than an evening out and trying new restaurants.<\/p>\n

We also have two cats called Poppy and Pepper which helped to keep us entertained whilst we stayed in a bit more during the wedding planning stage \u2013 my mum even had a picture of them put on a cushion for the wedding day so they were kind of there with us!<\/p>\n

How Did She Or He Propose?<\/h2>\n

From Matt\u2019s proposal I\u2019m convinced he could run the world with all the logistics he put in place, it really was amazing. He told me to save the date as it was a family meal that evening so I went into work thinking nothing special would be happening that evening other than a catch up with his parents. Matt then got me to meet him at a bar close by, when I got there and couldn\u2019t find him he told me to come to the Bloomsbury Hotel in London where he had booked a room and was waiting with champagne, flowers and my favourite music playing. Matt later said he had spent the afternoon working out where to press play in the album to make sure the best songs were on for the proposal.<\/p>\n

Matt then got down on one knee which was very overwhelming and proposed with a holder ring. When I said yes after getting far too excited he said he had booked for us to go to the Kensington Roof Top Gardens, which is a restaurant I loved, to celebrate. He had also booked the next day off work with my boss without me knowing to go and choose my ring in Hatton Garden.<\/p>\n

To top off a wonderful evening Matt had timed the proposal within a day of me due to go back up to my Mum\u2019s so I could see the whole family and my friends up in Peterborough to celebrate and when I got back to London he had arranged dinner with my closest friends.<\/p>\n

The organisation he put in the proposal was so touching as he knows me so well that the first thing I would want to do was to go and see my family and friends and he had planned everything.<\/p>\n

So You Said Yes… What Happened Next?<\/h2>\n

After I said yes we got round to venue hunting pretty quickly. The only thoughts we had on the day was that we didn\u2019t want anything too formal and that the more relaxed the day was the better \u2013 plus it had to be amazing food!<\/p>\n

We had just less than two years to plan but we ended up booking most things 18 months in advance to make sure we got the suppliers we wanted to help us create our special day.<\/p>\n

The Venue<\/h2>\n

We started originally looking at London venues but then headed down to Farnham where we visited Cain Manor which just blew us away. Within being in the venue for 10 minutes we both knew that\u2019s where we had to get married. It was a lovely manor house that could be exclusively hired so it meant it was just the wedding party on the day and it had plenty of outside space for beautiful pictures.<\/p>\n

Before we confirmed the venue we made sure they would be able to cater for a bespoke menu as we didn\u2019t want the traditional wedding breakfast. Instead we went for a tapas menu.<\/p>\n

The Flowers<\/h2>\n

The next thing on my list was to book a florist as I knew that flowers were really important to how I wanted the wedding to look, I don\u2019t think you can beat beautiful flowers to add the finishing touch to a wedding.<\/p>\n

The Entertainment<\/h2>\n

Matt was in charge of booking the evenings entertainment and we went for The Indie Killers<\/a> who were incredible! We wanted to make sure we booked a band that could really fill the dance floor and the guests would love and we were not disappointed!<\/p>\n

The Dress<\/h2>\n

The next task was dress shopping with my mum. We found my dress pretty quickly and it was similar to the shape and material I had always imagined but it also had a feather detail on the top as I wanted something that had a modern twist. This was one of the most fun parts of all the wedding preparation and I\u2019m sad that I won\u2019t get to wear my dress again!<\/p>\n

The Decor<\/h2>\n

We went for a Romantic theme which included vintage style picture frames, a Shakespeare quote, lots of wicker hearts and heart chalkboards with notices on and our table plan was a large frame with pictures of all our guests.<\/p>\n

The Food<\/h2>\n

The venue did our food but rather than the more traditional wedding breakfast with three courses we went for a tapas mix with a charcuterie board to start, then lots of different tapas options for mains including Lamb Meatballs, Potatas Bravas with Chorizo, Piri Piri Cod, Garlic and Paprika Chicken, Vegi Paella, Warm Tomato and Courgette Salad and Garlic and saffron king prawns. For dessert we had a Jack Daniels ice-cream with a chocolate melting pot.<\/p>\n

Then in the evening for a break from the dancing we had a hog roast.<\/p>\n

We also had a mix of Bavarian Beers, Various wines, Prosecco and Cloudy Lemonade for our guests to enjoy throughout the reception and wedding breakfast.<\/p>\n

The Photography<\/h2>\n

When we first met Elton and saw his photographs we booked him there on the spot, there was no need for us to consider anyone else. His photos really are spectacular and his photo style suited us perfectly as we wanted more natural relaxed photos with only a few key ones.<\/p>\n
