What a fabulous day on Saturday! What a great atmosphere! So many people saying it was the best wedding they'd been to. The band were on fire and everyone was singing their praises. Huge thanks from me.
We give you a bespoke price based on the exact location of your event. The pricing below is based on a central location for your area so you have an idea of what your price will be. The exact price will be given in the booking process after you’ve provided the location details.
Why should we book Funk Soul Union?
As hundreds of satisfied newlyweds will agree, Funk Soul Union will keep you and your guests dancing all night to party, disco and modern classics. We understand that organising a wedding is time consuming and stressful, so we make sure that from the moment a booking is confirmed, we will take care of all your music entertainment.
Any other reasons?
Yes. We use a professional Bose PA system with a dedicated sound engineer, so we sound great. We also use a modern high quality LED disco lighting system, so we look great too.
Do we have to pay a deposit?
Just a small percentage of the final price to confirm the booking is all that’s required until the week of the event.
What time will you arrive?
Prices are based on a 6pm arrival. However, we offer add-ons to your package if an earlier time is necessary.
Do you play music between your sets?
We will look after all of your music at your event, giving you peace of mind that your entertainment is completely taken care of all night. We offer a totally free disco service that will keep your guests on the dance floor before, in-between sets and after the band have finished.
Can we use your PA system and mics for speeches?
Not a problem. We use wireless microphones and they’ll be up and ready when you need them.
Do we select the playlist or leave it to the band?
We are experts in events like yours. We have our tried and tested favourite songs that never fail to get the crowd going and we have a great understanding of what works and what doesn’t. We do have a huge repertoire so can tailor the set to suit you, if required. If there are songs on the playlist you particularly love or hate, just let us know. Otherwise, you can leave it up to us.
What happens if one of the band members can’t play due to illness?
We have a number of trusted ‘stand-in’ professional musicians and vocalists that are fully rehearsed and ready if need be. We NEVER cancel!
What will you wear?
We will be in smart formal clothes. Presentation is everything.
How far will you travel?
We don’t mind travelling but please bear in mind that if your event is further than 100 miles from London our price will reflect the added cost of time and fuel.
Do you take requests?
Yes, the obvious one will be your first dance if you’re getting married. However, in general if you would like to suggest a couple of your favourite Funk, Soul or Motown tunes no later than one month before your event, we’ll either have them already or we'll be happy to learn them.
How much space do you need to set-up & perform?
A minimum of 30 x 15 ft (10 x 5 metres). We will need 2x plug sockets. Somewhere to change would also be welcome.
Do you have Public Liability Insurance?
Yes, we have full Public Liability cover through the Musician’s Union. Certificate available upon request.
Is your equipment PAT tested?
Yes, all equipment is PAT tested annually. Certificate available upon request.
