Thank you both so much for playing at my partner, David’s 50th birthday do. You may recall that it rained all day so the outlook to begin with was not that good. When you arrived you immediately brought with you the party spirit. I have had numerous compliments about the day and all of them have included compliments about you. The weather was hardly noticed by all concerned. You both fitted in extremely well with the guests (even getting some of them singing towards the end of the afternoon!), were pleasant company throughout and the music was great! I would have no hesitation in recommending you and using you again if I can think of an excuse - you were great. A very enjoyable afternoon’s entertainment.

Dear Jazz on the Rocks, thank you so much for performing for my wife’s 30th birthday. You really helped make the evening special. Everyone loved it! Your appearance and music was first class. I’m so glad we decided to book you guys.
We give you a bespoke price based on the exact location of your event. The pricing below is based on a central location for your area so you have an idea of what your price will be. The exact price will be given in the booking process after you’ve provided the location details.
Q. Will your music be too loud?
A. Our experience is that most often live music can be very distracting when guests are trying to talk. For this reason we pride ourselves on being audible but background in volume. Most often we do not use any amplification, though a little is sometimes necessary for very large rooms.
Q. Why the bass? Wouldn't it be cheaper just to have piano?
A. The added value of double bass for the little extra it costs is well worth it! Solo pianists struggle to play rhythmic, catchy music without being overbearing. The double bass adds a smooth groove to the sound without being too much. And it looks really cool too!
Q. What do you wear?
A. We will dress immaculately to suit your occassion! Please take a look at our photos and choose from the formal (black tie) look, smart (suits) look or casual (shirts and jeans) look.
Q. What do I need to provide?
A. All we need is access to one electrical socket! We provide an electronic stage piano and are fully self contained, including interval music in our breaks. We do not need a changing room. Food and refreshments are appreciated if we are at the venue for a long period of time!
Q. How long does it take you to set up? Will you need much space?
A. We can be set up inside 20 minutes! We only need 1.5 x 0.8m in which to perform. If your event takes place in several areas of a venue (including outside) we can quickly and easily move from one area to another.
Q. Do you play requests?
A. You may of course request any songs from our extensive repertoire! If you have one or two requests we don't know we will learn them! For example if we play your wedding ceremony we will play the songs you choose if they will translate to the piano/bass combo.
