FAQs

How Much Does It Cost To Hire An Acoustic Guitarist?

Soloists range from around £400 - £750 and duos are usually priced between £700 and £1100. The price is varied depending on a number of factors as follows:

  • The distance your act has to travel to reach you. If you're trying to save money, try to find an act based close to your venue so the cost of transportation is kept to a minimum.
  • The act's level of experience and popularity.
  • The date of your event. Christmas and New Year, as well as Fridays and Saturdays over the summer period are usually at a premium.

When Should I Hire My Acoustic Act?

The most popular acoustic soloists and duos get booked around 18 months in advance so it's a really good idea to get in early if you want to secure your favourite act.

What Type Of Music Do Acoustic Soloists and Duos Play?

In general, if you hire an acoustic act as your daytime entertainment you can expect to hear well-loved songs played in a laid-back Live Lounge style. This makes for the perfect musical backdrop while you and your guests get the bubbly flowing! In the evening, things get a lot more upbeat with big party tunes, indie anthems, Motown favourites and rock n roll classics. There's something for everyone to enjoy so your dance floor will be rocking all night!

Of course, not all acts play in the same style. When browsing through the incredible acts available for hire, you'll notice that some of the musicians perform a more jazz-based repertoire, some have a more contemporary vibe and others are a lot more rock inspired. Whatever type of music you're into, you'll find a great act to play it for you.

Can I Hire An Act to Play During The Daytime As Well As At My Reception?

Of course! Many acts offer add-ons for the daytime. This is a great money-saving tip as it will always work out cheaper to do it this way rather than hiring a separate act for your drinks reception.

Can You Help Me Choose Which Acoustic Soloist Or Duo To Hire?

Sure! There are so many fantastic acoustic guitarists and duos available for hire so choosing the right one for your event can feel a little overwhelming. Don't worry - we're here to help! Our expert entertainment advisers will be able to find you your ideal act if you let us know your budget, musical tastes and the date of your event.

What Happens When The Act Is Offstage?

Nearly all acts will provide music played through a laptop or tablet while they're offstage so there's no awkward silence when they're taking a break!

Do I Need To Hire A PA System?

When you hire an acoustic soloist or duo from Warble Entertainment they'll bring their own professional PA system with them unless otherwise stated. If you're hiring an act for your evening reception they will usually bring lighting with them too. Check with your adviser if you're not sure.

How Long Does The Sound Check Take?

For a soloist, the sound check will usually take around half an hour and for duos it usually takes about an hour. The sound check is very discreet and your venue will know how to keep your guests away from your musicians while they do it so it shouldn't intrude on your day!

How Long Do Acoustic Soloists And Duos Play For?

Most acoustic acts will perform for either 2x 60-minute or 3x 40-minute sets depending on which suits your schedule best. Some will offer late finishes or extra sets if you're hiring them for the evening so check their profiles to see what's on offer from each act.

Can I Choose Which Songs My Acoustic Act Plays?

If there are a few songs you'd really like your acoustic soloist or duo to play, let them know in the weeks leading up to your event and they should happily include them in their setlist. Then, it's strongly advised to leave the remainder of the setlist up to the musicians themselves. Years of experience will have taught them how to read a room and they'll know exactly which songs to play to keep spirits high.

Will An Acoustic Soloist Or Duo Learn Our First Dance?

Nearly all our acoustic acts will be more than happy to learn your first dance. In fact, hearing a unique and intimate version of your first dance is absolutely magical. We have so many happy couples who tell us it was their favourite part of their entire day!
