FAQs

What events do Uber Chic play at?
The band have done all sorts of events, the most common are: Corporate events, weddings, birthdays, awards ceremonies, Bar Mitzvahs, PR events, trade shows, charity balls, Christmas parties, celebrity events, New Year's Eve celebrations

Can we see Uber Chic perform?
The majority of Uber Chic’s performances as private events, and the band rarely perform at public showcases. However, please speak to Warble about any coming events which external guests can attend.

Do Uber Chic supply sound, lighting & stage production?
Uber Chic provide all sound equipment along with sound engineer(s), which is included in our quote for the band’s service.

Lighting and stage are add-ons. For many of the events that Uber Chic undertake, the lighting and sound production is already in place by an in-house production company. When it is not, Uber Chic will happily source suitable lighting and stage production from one of our approved production suppliers located in the UK. If you have particular production requirements, please advise the band before they issue their quotation, as bespoke production packages are available.

Uber Chic do not provide sound and lighting production for oversees events. It is the responsibility of the client, venue or events company to source the equipment that we require in accordance with our technical rider.

Can Uber Chic provide a DJ?
Included when you book the band is backing music before, between and after the band sets – which is picked to suit the occasion. We also welcome our clients to provide their own ipod playlists should they have specific requests or preferences. Should you specifically wish to have a visible DJ Uber Chic can supply this (fees apply).

Can we choose what songs the band play?
Uber Chic took more than a year at its creation to carefully craft a 2-hour show full of amazing music, dance and energy, which gets reviewed and added to every month. The songs are rarely played straight start to end, as we have complex musical medleys, which form the backbone of the show. Trust must be placed in the band to write the set list as they have years of experience in selecting the best music to fill the dance-floor for each specific event. On the night they will also read the audience as they go, to make sure they create the perfect atmosphere.

Furthermore, the band will always offer to learn the first dance (if playing at a wedding).

Finishing after midnight?
This is rarely a problem but should be agreed on booking. Finish times after 12am usually incur a fee, so when providing you with a quotation, we will take into account the finish time that you request. Our standard quotation is for a midnight finish.

Set times?
Uber Chic play a 120 minute party set, which can be either performed straight through, in 2 x 60 minutes or 3 x 40 minutes.

Uber Chic offer additional acoustic sets (often popular at weddings and during day events), which can be added for an additional cost, these can range from a single performer to the whole band playing.

How far will you travel?
Worldwide.

Do you need a stage?
Uber Chic prefer to perform on a large tiered stage and we strongly urge you to provide one where possible. Just as with the lighting and sound, a good stage adds a huge amount to the band's performance. Uber Chic do understand that in very small venues stages are sometimes unavailable.

When booking the full 12-piece band, they require a minimum stage or performance area of 24ft x 16ft. However, the band recommend a tiered stage of 28ft x 16ft.

Do you have any personal requirements?
Yes, we will require a room to change in and refreshment drinks to hand. Our musicians may have travelled some distance to your event so they will also require a hot meal.

How long do you need to set up?
A minimum of 2 hours before the first set. Usually we arrive at 5pm for evening events – there may be a charge for arriving earlier.
