An amazingly versatile comedian, Zeron Gibson is perhaps best known and loved for his comic creation - the wise cracking ‘70s dude, Valentine Flyguy. As Mr Flyguy, Zeron has toured the world and become a regular highlight on the national and international comedy circuit.

After completing a degree at the Midland Academy of Dance and Drama, Zeron toyed with the idea of becoming a stuntman. But it soon became apparent that he had a natural gift for comedy. He honed his early performance skills in the hardest of venues, working men's clubs in the midlands. However, his bravery and humour soon paid off, launching him as an accepted face on the national and international comedy circuit

Zeron first attracted the attention of the critics in Edinburgh in 1996 when he made the finals of two national comedy competitions. He still remains the only ethnic comedian to make two finals in the same year. In 1997 he went on to win The Nubian Comedian of the Year. He subsequently notched up three sell out solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival including the acclaimed show "4 Gimps And A Pimp" in 1999 at the Gilded Balloon. It was also around this time that Channel 4's Comedy Lab commissioned his show 'The Lost Pet's Man' for a 15 minute special.

Zeron continues to work regularly as a TV presenter, actor and writer. He recently co-presented BBC 3's ‘Lab Rats’ series, where his body and humour were put to the test. He also starred in BBC 3's 'Mega Malai Presents' and 'Malai Monologues' - taking comedy to the streets of London. In 'Secrets of the Sex Gods' for Sky he was given the task of investigating the pulling power of comedy.

As an actor Zeron has appeared in shows at the Nottingham Playhouse and still teaches a course in comedy & drama in France every year. He also has the accolade of being the first international black comedian to play South Africa after the fall of apartheid and the honour of entertaining the ANC.
