FAQs

How long do Young Lights take to set up?
We can be set-up in under 30 minutes but we will always allow an hour to set-up.

What time do you play?
Normally we will play 2 or 3 sets, each 45 or 60 minutes in length. However, we can be flexible to play at whatever time and for however long suits you.

Are you able to provide music between sets?
Yes, we are able to provide music between sets via Spotify so your guests will be entertained all night. We can either put together a playlist ourselves or you can provide us with a list of your own song choices which we will be happy to play.

Do you have your own PA?
Yes, and this is included in the price.

Do you have all the equipment you need?
Yes, Young Lights will provide all the equipment they need.

Do you have Public Liability Insurance and PAT tested equipment?
Yes.

Will you perform our first dance?
Yes, we would be delighted to. All we ask is for four weeks notice to learn it.

How much space do you require?
There is only 2 of us so 3m x 3m will be enough.

How much power do you require?
2 power sockets is all we need.

Do I need to provide food/drinks?
Ideally yes please, but soft drinks and cold food is fine, even if just a Sainsbury's meal deal! But please let us know if this is not possible and we will bring food with us.

Can Young Lights tailor their style and performance to my event?
Yes, our set list, playing times and even appearance can be altered to suit your event. Please just let us know in advance.

Will Young Lights play music that our guests can dance to?
Absolutely! Don't let the word 'acoustic' fool you! We are able to perform a lively and energetic set which will have your guests dancing and singing along all night.

Are you able to play outside?
Yes, we are more than happy to play outside. We only ask that in the event of rain a gazebo or marquee is provided to protect our equipment and instruments from the rain. Playing acoustically requires no plug sockets, however if you wanted us to play plugged in then we would need some way of connecting an extension lead.

Is parking required for your act?
Yes, parking is required for one car.

Can I choose songs from your set list and if so, how many?
Yes, you can choose as many songs from our set list as you like! Alternatively we can put together a suitable set list ourselves based on your guidance, i.e. that you want an upbeat set or a romantic set.

Are you happy to help with any announcements at events?
Absolutely, we are more than happy to help with announcements at events.

Can the band dress smart for weddings and other events that require it?
Absolutely – do let us know the dress code in advance so we can dress for the occasion.
