Whether you like contemporary chart-toppers, indie, modern pop-rock or even 70's rock, you'll find something in Breaking News' wide-ranging repertoire to tempt you onto the dance floor. And the best thing? The band's vivacious love for music and fun-filled performance will keep you there all night long!

The members of Breaking News are all accomplished musicians, having performed at an impressive range of festivals and events worldwide. These include The Isle of Wight Festival, Latitude and Victorious festivals, on the West End for Six The Musical and the lead singer has been featured on BBC Introducing, with her EP even being played on Voice FM and iHeartRadio.

The band offer a range of add ons, including an extra set, daytime acoustic options and a late finish, meaning they can entertain you all day long! The tech side of things is all sorted when you book, as Breaking News will bring a high-quality PA and lighting rig with them and they'll also provide a playlist DJ service between sets as standard. FAQs

How long will Breaking News perform for?
As standard, the band perform either 2x60 minute sets, depending on your event requirements.

Can the band play for longer?
Yes - the option to include an extra 30 minute band set and a 1am late finish are available.

Do the band provide their own equipment?
The band will arrive at your event complete with a PA system and lighting equipment - all included in their standard fee.

Will the band provide a DJ service?
Yes! Breaking News provide a playlist DJ service included in their standard fee, which means music is covered all night even whilst the band take a break between sets. These are tried and tested playlists the band use to keep the atmosphere high whilst the band aren't on stage. You are more than welcome to request songs prior to your event and they will endeavour to include these for you.
There's even the option to upgrade to a manned DJ service if you'd like to make requests on the night!

Will the band learn our first dance song?
Absolutely! Wherever possible, Breaking News will learn and perform one song request for your first dance, even if it's not in their repertoire.

Do the band offer any optional extras?
Yes - Breaking News can also provide daytime acoustic performances with customisable line-ups that would be perfect for drinks receptions and daytime events!

Can the band arrive earlier?
Breaking News are very flexible and are happy to work to the needs of your event and arrive earlier (pre 5pm) for an extra fee.

How long do the band need to set up their equipment?
The band will need approximately 90 minutes to set up and sound check once they have arrived at the venue (depending on access to the performance area), followed by an additional 15 minutes to get changed before taking to the stage!

My venue has a sound limiter - will this be ok?
The band will do everything they can to work around any sound limitations at your venue. Please let the band know regarding this as soon as possible and they will advise regarding this.
