Shindig Sax are a collective of talented musicians, including: sax players, bongo players, electric violinists and DJs, specialising in wedding and events, and performing across the country.

As standard, a solo sax player to accompany your pre-booked DJ is included, OR a pro DJ. You can upgrade this line-up to include both sax and DJ, as well as the option to add percussion and more for a unique DJ live experience!

Whether you want full-blown ‘Ibiza’ party vibes or just something to provide a focal point to interact with you and your guests, these fellas are perfect for just about every occasion. From soul and Motown, R&B, club classics, chart and old-school house - you name it - this group of musicians will bring the party to the dance floor.

The DJ performs for five hours, live musicians usually perform for 2.5 hours across a four-hour period to allow them to work dynamically with the DJ and create unforgettable moments over the course of the night!

Shindig Sax were absolutely amazing. We had a super pre wedding catch up with Arthur to discuss what kind of music we wanted and he was open minded and happily to provide as much of what we wanted as he could. He kept the party going all night long, the saxophone added another level to the party and was a complete asset. Arthur is very talented and very lovely. I would highly recommend and would book again.

    FAQs

    Who are Shindig?
    Shindig are a collective of musicians who meet the highest standards of aesthetic, energy and musical performance. Shindig have multiple sax, percussionists and DJs, so a fantastic party is always guaranteed. 

    Do you provide a DJ?
    Yes, Shindig can provide a specialised evening DJ or work with another DJ you've already booked. 

    Can you play requests?
    Yes! The show is based on musical improvision so most requests can be catered for. If you book a DJ through us, you can tailor the playlist as much or as little as you like.

    How long does it take to set up?
    Typically no more than one hour, usually during a room turnaround.

    Can you host our evening reception?
    Of course! Shindig DJs are experienced evening hosts, welcoming guests into the room and leading proceedings for cutting of the cake and the first dance. After the formalities are out of the way, microphone use is kept to a minimum and the music does the talking instead!
