The Postmodern Pops cover all of your favourite hits from the 70s to the present day with energy and authenticity.

Whether its Walking on Sunshine as a Calypso, Sweet Child O' Mine as a Shuffle or Happy as a swing, the band's very own original arrangements will leave you wanting more.

The members of the band love jazz and pop music in equal measure and their versatility means that along with the band’s very own original jazzy arrangements, they also offer the option of a classic traditional party band set, which is always perfect to end the night with a bang and guaranteed to fill the dance floor.

We booked the Postmodern Pops for our wedding in London - the whole booking process from start to finish was smooth and they were absolutely great on the night, it was a great atmosphere and they had everyone up and dancing. Would highly recommend!

Mat and the band were excellent from start to finish and handled our requests perfectly whilst also making suggestions for how schedule their performance at our wedding based on their experience (which was very much appreciated!). We asked for two sets, one which was more jazz standards based for a chill start and another being jazzy renditions of more modern songs later on for dancing. Both were absolutely amazingly performed and had folks up and dancing throughout. We can't thank the band enough for making our day feel that much more special and would wholeheartedly recommend them!

FAQs

Is sound and lighting included?
Yes, the band supply a 2000 watts suitable for 200 people as standard. For larger events, a bigger PA is available for a charge. On stage lighting is also provided.

Can we have a DJ option so all the evening's music is taken care of?
Yes! The band offers a FREE Laptop DJ service with 1000's of songs manned by a member of the band, making basic announcements and taking requests.

Will the band learn a first dance / special request?
The band will learn one song or your first dance request free of charge.

How will the band be dressed?
The band will always dress in suit and tie or tuxedo as standard unless a more casual look is required by the client.

Working with Sound Limiters
The band is regularly booked to play at events where the venue has some restrictions placed on the amount of volume which is allowed during the performance. This is absolutely no problem for the band to work with.

Booking Options
Alongside the bands very own brand of floor fillers, they also offer a number of options to entertain your guests during the wedding ceremony, wedding breakfast and drinks reception. This is perfect to add a touch of class and sophistication to your event.
