Vintage Jazz Singer

Luka was born and raised in Japan and is currently settled in North Yorkshire. Her passions are music, art, and history and she especially finds beauty in the glamorous world of vintage culture and jazz.

Her unique singing background started in Nagauta (traditional Japanese music which accompanies the Kabuki theatre). Later, Luka joined a jazz band in Japan. She fell in love not only with jazz songs but also the style: gorgeous dresses, perfect hair, make-up and charismatic personalities such as her idols Julie London and Peggy Lee. Performing alongside professional jazz musicians, Luka’s rich, warm voice carries elegance with feelings. Featuring jazz standards with an air of romance, up-lifting swings, beautiful ballads, relaxing bossa nova and Latin pieces, Luka’s live sets are perfectly suited to hotel residencies, drinks reception and private parties. Luka has performed in some of London's best 5 star hotels such as The Savoy Hotel, The Londoner Hotel.

Creative to her core, Luka has created a look and sound that brings glamour to every stage. Having worked as a professional make-up artist for 10 years, Luka styles her own hair and makeup for every performance. Much of her wardrobe is bespoke too, sewing many of her stunning dresses herself.
