Laura absolutely nailed it. Played the most lovely laid back acoustic sets as a back drop to our naming day, took on all the requests from the kids... and ended with a wonderful sing along to 'You Got The Love'. She was also a lovely person with a great vibe. Everyone was asking where we found her! Thank you Laura!

Laura was amazing, her voice is so beautiful. She was happy taking requests, and having a go at songs she doesn’t normally sing and she still made them sound wonderful. Thank you so much Laura for really making our evening.

I can absolutely recommend Laura. Laura played at our wedding in the afternoon and also played our first dance for us. She is fab!
We give you a bespoke price based on the exact location of your event. The pricing below is based on a central location for your area so you have an idea of what your price will be. The exact price will be given in the booking process after you’ve provided the location details.
Can you play a First Dance song or special request?
Of course! I will be happy to learn up to 5 new songs for you to perform for your ceremony / first dance. I will usually need at least a few weeks' notice to learn and prepare them so the sooner you can let me know the better!
Can I choose the set list?
You're welcome to have a look through my set list and pick out your favourites for me to play, but it's best to let me know a few weeks in advance at least so that I can refresh my memory of them all. I typically have around 50 songs that are frequently in my set lists and another couple of hundred songs that I perform occasionally - so I might not be able to play a song on demand just because it's on my setlist. So in short, yes you can, just give me a few weeks to practice them and make sure that they're sounding amazing for you. Equally, if you'd rather not worry about it I can use my judgement and experience to put together a set that will be perfectly suited to the atmosphere of your event.
What about DJ requests?
I am happy to take DJ requests, I have a pretty big library of music from the 1940s through to current chart music, so the chances are I'll have most things that get requested already on my system. Because I mix tracks live, it's best if I have the songs downloaded to my catalogue in advance, so please let me know a week or two before the wedding if there is anything in particular that you would like to hear. If the venue has a strong wifi signal it may be possible to download requests on the night.
Can you perform outside?
Yes, and I often do! Things to bear in mind... Firstly, I'll still need access to a power socket, unless it's small gathering of 50 people or less where I can perform using a battery amp. Secondly, the venue needs to have a licence for live music outside. And finally, it's best to have some kind of gazebo/shelter to hand in case the weather turns. My equipment cannot be outside in the rain, damp or hot sun.
How long do you need to set up?
It depends which package you've booked. If it's an acoustic set with a basic DJ service, then I like to allow an hour to load in, set up, soundcheck. That gives me a little breathing room if any surprises pop up. For the full DJ Party set up it's best to allow 90mins, more if I need to set up multiple systems in different places (such as outside for the champagne reception and inside for the evening do.)
Do you bring all your own equipment?
Yes, I bring all sound equipment, and for DJ Party sets I bring lighting equipment too. If you would like me to bring a small stage to perform on, I can supply a 1m x 1m stage with a black velvet valance for a small additional fee.
What kind of power outlets do you require?
I just need a socket that I can access fairly close to wherever I'm set up. To ensure that the power doesn't trip during my DJ party sets, please make sure that I'm not on the same circuit as other high power equipment such as bouncy castles, bucking broncos etc.
