Whether it's getting piped down the aisle, welcoming guests at a private or public function or indeed a sincere funeral service that you require a bagpiper for, Ross offers a professional service for all types of events.

Having been playing for over 40 years, Ross has an incredibly vast amount of experience playing at all types of events that benefit from having a professional piper in attendance. Having played at the very highest level on the bagpiping scene and indeed still active in a band, 'Ross The Piper' offers a bespoke service that can be personalised to your own requirements. He can adapt his music to connect with the mood of the event with his vast repertoire of tunes.

Just ask if you require something a bit more personal and if it can be accommodated within the parameters of the instrument, then it will be played for you.

We decided to have a piper at our wedding pretty much at the last minute and we booked Ross who turned out to be a fantastic addition to our magical day. His professionalism was exemplary and his playing did not disappoint.He was very neat and precise in his dress code and was a very friendly manner. He has a vast repertoire of tunes containing the old favourites as well as some more modern tunes as well. Highly recommended!!

    FAQs

    When did you start to learn the bagpipes?
    I first started with Boghall and Bathgate pipe band in West Lothian at the age of 11 which was more than a few years ago now.

    Whats the best event you've played at?
    Thats easy, it must be when I played at my own daughters wedding in Edinburgh 4 years ago. A truely large memorable occassion involving lots of friends and family.

    When did you first play solo at an event
    That would be the first ever wedding I played at when I was 15. A truely nerve wracking experience however I thoroughly enjoyed it and made a promise to myself then that if I was asked to play anywhere then I would!
