About

Soul Connection are a 100% live band that specifically arrange their own versions of classic and modern tunes. They are a slick, professional outfit whose sole purpose is to bring energy, fun and joy to any event that they play at.

They are all versatile musicians, capable of providing classical woodwind accompaniment or jazz music during the arrival of guests or a meal before then gearing up for the main event!

Soul Connection get genuine pleasure from performing and this is reflected in the infectious energy they create through their music. If you are looking for a band that people will be talking about for years to come, hire Soul Connection!

They have supported the likes of Paul Young, Toploader, Mel C and Madness in front of crowds of 17,500 people. On top of that, they have performed at prestigious events for clients such as Formula 1, NHS, British Airways and many more, sometimes playing in front of a host of A-list celebrities. X-Factor 2017 finalist Grace Davies was even formerly their support act!

A huge thanks to Soul Connection who travelled all the way to Glasgow to play at our 10th wedding anniversary party. They are a well rehearsed great sounding band that got everyone up on their feet dancing. They have an excellent range of music choice and the variation in songs kept the night going. Without doubt Soul Connection are an excellent band, a great bunch of guys and gals, and a fantastic choice for any function. We will recommend them to anyone who asks both sides of the border!

    FAQs

    Are Soul Connection a completely live band? 
    Yes, we don't believe in backing tracks or other forms of technical wizardry! With a 'tight as a nut' rhythm section and an outstanding 5-piece horn section, 'The Outlaws' have got it covered. Each instrument is individually mic'd and their on-hand sound engineer ensures that the music is perfectly levelled.

    How much room does the band need?
    Soul Connection don’t need a masses amount of room, however they are a 10-piece band, complete with instruments, lighting rig and PA. This does mean that they require slightly more space than your average Indie band!

    How long do Soul Connection play for?
    Soul Connection put no limit on their playing time. With over 3+ hours of material, they will play for as long as you need them to. A typical set consists of 2x45 minute sets, however this is completely customisable.

    Do Soul Connection provide their own sound and lighting?
    The band has a powerful QSC PA with 24 channel mixing desk. They also come with 8 x Stairville LED lighting rig. The Outlaws have specially programmed these using specific software so that the lighting is reflective of the music being played. This adds an additional layer of atmosphere. Just think, on those well known "Doh doh dohs" at the start of Uptown Funk, each of the lights flashes exactly in turn. That's just the start...

    Do Soul Connection have any other special requirements?
    Like anyone, Soul Connection are only human and due to the hours involved in setting up and performing, it is usually expected that food and drink is provided. It does not need to be anything fancy, sandwiches and soft drinks will suffice! They also need an hour prior to any performance in order to setup and sound check to ensure that everything is ready for your party!
