About

The Joys' highly accomplished and professional set will add musical charm to any wedding, function or corporate event in the UK.

Rebecca and Tim have been making music together for over 10 years and have performed over 400 gigs all over the UK. Their work has featured on various national radio stations, including BBC Radio One and BBC 2 and they have taken part in many major festivals including Bestival, End of the Road and Green Man. The duo have also composed music for TV and film broadcasts, from BBC's Horizons to the Disney Channel.

Their repertoire covers everything from The Beatles to Dave Brubeck and from Muse to Schubert - all individually arranged and adapted in their own style to flow seamlessly together to provide a professional, accomplished and unique set.

The Joys offer a range of services, from playing short sets during a wedding ceremony to 2 x 45 minute sets at private events, corporate functions, weddings or at hotels and restaurants. We are also able to add a percussionist for a more varied and lively sound, or strip back to solo classical guitar to provide excellent instrumental background ambience.

The Joys were absolutely amazing at our wedding last weekend! We've had so many compliments from our guests, who all said their music created such an amazing and magical atmosphere. My aisle song and our exit song (during the morning ceremony) were perfect, and Rebecca and Tim were so accommodating with learning those songs for us. Rebecca's voice is so beautiful, and we're so glad we found her and Tim for our special day. I just wish I had more time to sit down and enjoy their music myself. Thank you so much!

Hi Danielle, hope you’re well. The Joys were FANTASTIC!!!! The Joys were 10/10, learned two songs and played them beautifully. I proposed to my Fiance (she said yes!) and The Joys just made it perfect. When we look to book the wedding we will definitely be thinking of having them grace our day. I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone. Tim & Rebecca have a beautiful voice and sound which has a perfect blend of folk, rock and classical.

They were perfect for our church wedding, we wanted music instead of typical organ and choir - from start to finish they tried to ensure we got exactly what we wanted.     FAQs

    What are your standard performance times?
    2 x 45 minute sets - We can also do  3 x 45 minute sets for an extra fee. Longer sets are negotiable on request.

    How much time do you require to set up and sound check?
    If we are providing PA, an hour. If not, 30 minutes is fine.

    How much Stage space do you require?
    Duo set : 2.m x 2mTrio set: 3m x 3m
    Solo set: 2m x 2m

    How many electrical sockets do you require?
    1 x 13 amp socket, we will provide any necessary extension leads.

    What is your full line-up and instrumentation?
    Duo - Vocals, Acoustic GuitarTrio - Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Cajon 
    Solo - Acoustic Guitar

    Are you fully self-contained with your own PA & Lighting?
    We have a high quality Mackie PA and mixing desk, plus lighting.

    Are you fully insured?
    Yes, all our equipment is fully PAT tested and we have Public Liability Insurance.

    Are you able to learn requests and at what extra charge (if any)?
    Yes, we can learn two songs for free as long as we have up to two weeks notice. Any additional songs will incur a small fee.
