About

Alex has studied for eight years classical percussion, jazz drums & guitar at Music University Graz/Austria, where he gained a Master’s degree. Since his relocation to England he has worked with many great musicians in British Jazz like guitarist Jim Mullen or saxophonists Bobby Wellins & Alan Barnes.

The great American Song Book provides the back bone of his vast repertoire: songs by George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Rodgers & Hart, Harold Arlen and Irving Berlin played with a swinging rhythm that makes you want to tap your foot.

Alex is able to add to a good atmosphere even at a low volume if required.

    As my amplification is compact, it only takes a few minutes to get ready for the first song.

    I don't mind at all playing outside, providing there is protection from the weather as my equipment is rather valuable.
