Black Magic

A real class act - Black Magic were absolutely incredible, more perfect than we could have imagined. They made an already special day a real celebration. So many of our guests commented on how fantastic they were and what a rich & soulful voice the lead singer had (and the saxophone was definitely the cherry on top of the cake for me!!). Thanks so much.

The band were a great addition to our wedding, our friends and family loved them.

We booked Black Magic for our wedding having seen them play at a friends wedding in May 2016. We cannot rate them highly enough, we've now had 2 evenings of non stop dancing and everyone who we've spoken to since our 'big day' has complemented us on our choice of band!!

We booked Black Magic through Warble entertainment for our wedding and they were absolutely fantastic! We took a bit of a risk since we had only heard them on You tube but we didn't have anything to worry about. Harrison contacted us 4 weeks before the wedding and put together our playlist for us and the band learnt our song for our first dance - which was amazing (since it's a country song! :)) All the wedding guests couldn't stop talking about how great they were - even the next day! The mix of swing and pop music was perfect and everyone said how much they enjoyed the evening.

The band were absolutely fantastic! So friendly and talented! We have received lots of compliments over the last few weeks! Would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who has a special event and wants a good time! Thank you!

Black Magic blew away any expectations we had. Having a good band was one of the things we really cared about and when we found them, we thought they sounded fresh and unique. We asked that they play more lively tunes and they kept the party going all night long. I, as the bride, didnt know whether to sit in awe of their sound or to get up and dance with the ever growing crowd. Their playlist in between live sets was also very fun and better than the few suggestions we gave them. So many of our guests told us that the band was one of the highlights of the day. Overall, I would hire them again in a heartbeat if given the opportunity to do so.

Absolutely superb!!! The whole evening was amazing from start the finish! The band were professional, polite and such talented musicians! Everyone loved the music and the dance floor was packed. We cannot fault these guys. They finished the night by joining us all on the dance floor for the DJ's set. Thank you! X

We had Black Magic play at our wedding on 22 May this year and they were absolutely amazing. In the lead up, they were exceptionally well organised and on the day itself they got the entire dance floor rocking. It helps they they are all genuinely nice lads too. Black Magic were excellent! It was easy to contact Harrison before the event to arrange set-up and organisation of the sets. They were happy to play some of the songs which we suggested which weren't on their set lists. On the day they arrived nice and early to set up, and the performance was excellent - the music was brilliant, and all our guests commented on how good they were. Thank you so much!

We hired Black Magic for our wedding evening reception and they were excellent. As requested they did a mostly swing set for the first hour whilst evening guests were warming up, and went into full blown party mode in the second set. Everyone raved about them, and besides being very professional, they were really nice guys. Would definitely recommend.

A huge thank you to Black Magic for a wonderful evening of live entertainment at our wedding! My husband comes from a very musical family, so picking our wedding band was always going to be a big ask. We knew we wanted to book them when we heard their demo online, amazing vocals and such a nice sound. We were looking for a swing band and got so much more! Black Magic provided us with an incredible set list and we decided to go for a first set of slower songs and swing classics, with fantastic Buble and Sinatra covers; the second set was made up of more modern, pop, upbeat hits. It got everyone dancing, from the older generation dancing to "Fly me to the Moon" or our first song "Can't take my Eyes off You"; to everyone on the dance floor singing along to "Happy" by Pharrell. We only received rave reviews by our guests and were so pleased with their performance. We appreciated all their efforts prior to the day (big thanks to Harrison!), how they rolled with the punches and the delays on the day and just kept going, and even the lovely message they left in our guest book! Black Magic were first class. They massively exceeded our expectations. They really do cover all bases and therefore appeal to a wide audience. We requested that their first set started off with slow swing songs before ending with some more upbeat swing songs. The second set was more akin to wedding classics. By the end of the first set, there was a full dance floor and people could not wait for their return after the short interval. We had a number of musicians as guests who have played in various types of bands over the years. Every musician in attendance were highly impressed with the riffs of the guitarists, the drummer and the singers. The band were very easy to deal with at all stages of the booking process. They provided a good array of songs to choose from and even went out their way to learn and play our first dance song (a great touch). On the day itself they arrived and set up with no fuss. They also played way beyond the time we booked them for purely because everyone (including themselves) were having so much fun. All in all, Black Magic are a lovely group of musicians who we would recommend to anyone. Do not let the name put you off as they play a huge range of songs exceptionally well.

All our dealings with Warble, from initially searching on their very user friendly website, through the booking process, and then contact with the act, was straight-forward and efficient. Emily Hudson was most helpful and the band themselves were excellent. They were flexible and willing to fit in with what we wanted, prepared well and their performance was fantastic. I have received lots of positive feedback from those at the event and will certainly not hesitate to recommend Warble and Black Magic in the future.
