Look no further than Ixta Strings - they have been performing as a string quartet for nearly 6 years, and training individually as professional musicians for 20+ years. They will help you make your wedding day extra special, and guarantee an exceptional and moving performance - there's often not a dry eye in the room! 

With beautiful music and a friendly set of faces, Ixta Strings can help elevate your special day by adding that "something extra"! From your favourite classical pieces to the latest hits, they have all your musical needs covered. They’re always adding to their repertoire list, and with currently over 700 pieces of music to choose from, have something for everyone.

Your bridal entrance, cake cutting and first dance are all stand-out moments, and Ixta Strings can help you make those memories even sweeter by picking the perfect soundtrack. The music you choose for these moments can help set the tone for your day too, so they recommend choosing music that means a lot to you both! If they don’t have your special song, please let them know and they will find it for you.

The quartet love performing unique and interesting music for clients - they have played brides down the aisle with the Jurassic Park theme and Legend of Zelda, and performed the Game of Thrones theme to usher guests into the wedding breakfast. As you can see, anything goes - traditional or out there, so make your day stand out!

I cannot describe how amazing these ladies are!!! They played 3 personal specific requests for us and it absolutely made our day. Our guests commented on how brilliant they were and how many songs that they played where no-one goes was the reason that we booked them and it will forever be one of my favourite wedding moments. The service and communication was excellent - especially Jo - who is so easy to talk to!! Cannot thank them enough!!!

    FAQs

    What do your prices include?
    Prices include all travel to and from your venue/s, Public Liability Insurance (£10m), and four musicians.

    Can you play outside?
    We absolutely can play outside, providing we have protection from adverse weather. Our instruments are delicate and made of wood, so we are unable to play in rain, direct sunlight or very cold weather. We also read from sheet music, so shelter from wind is always a must (though we do come armed with pegs!). 

    What happens if a performer is ill on the day?
    In the unlikely event that one of us is ill on the day, we will endeavour to provide a replacement player of equal standard. If we are unable to do so, we will refund the cost of the missing musician in full.  

    Which performers will attend my event?
    A string quartet consists of four musicians; 2 violins, a viola and a cello. 

    What will you wear?
    Our standard “uniform” is smart black clothes for all weddings and events, unless you’d prefer otherwise! Please ask us if you’d like us to wear something different and we will endeavour to accommodate your request.

    Do you need breaks?
    We require a break of 10 minutes per hour. These need to be included in the total length of your booking.

    Do we need to provide refreshments?
    If booked for more than 1 hour, we do ask that we are provided with soft drinks. We will usually bring our own food and eat during one of our contracted breaks.
