About

Founded in June 2012 by three, Pop Culture quickly became five, offering male and female lead vocals which forms part of their core line-up (the Quintet). Fast forward to current day and hundreds of events later, this versatile family of musicians now offer a variety of full band line-ups. They range from the classic four piece ensemble of male or female vocals with electric guitar, bass and drums, through to the stylish and powerful eight piece which includes four vocalists plus the sassy and funky tone of a saxophone!

This experienced and exciting collaboration perform a variety of classic and upbeat tunes from the 50’s to current day; they want to ensure that your party is the best it can be so that you and your guests leave with great memories, and a story to tell!

Coupled with the frequent weddings and parties Pop Culture have performed at since 2012, this eclectic ensemble have entertained clients such as the US Embassy, Kraft-Heinz and Ericsson, to name a few. Their testimonials that numerously describe this entertaining band as "brilliant", "professional" and "friendly", is recognition of the skill and care that is committed to every performance.

The organisation of booking was brilliant and Ben is so helpful. He responds to queries and keeps in regular contact. He is keen to tailor the tunes, length of sets etc, to your needs and is great through the whole process. He provided us with a playlist to play when the band were on a break. The actual music played and the singing were superb. We could not be more happy with the outcome! The party was mixed age groups and the dance floor was full the whole time. Thanks to every member of this talented and fun band. Best wishes from all the Sharp family.

    What do your advertised prices include?

    Do you have any requirements?

    • Access to power via a minimum of two separate plug sockets - 2x 30m cable reels will be provided incase power is not available in the stage area
    • A hot meal and soft drinks (or a subsidy) are required. Depending on the location, time and duration of your event, this may be negotiable. 
    • Overnight accomodation may be required (if so, this will be stated upon enquiry)
    • Access to parking at the venue or within' close proximity

    Pop Culture will gladly travel as far and wide as required. If your event is happening in the South East, please find our prices under the "prices" section of our profile. If your event is taking place elsewhere, please get in touch and you will receive a quote within' one working day. 

    How long does the band need to load-in, set up and soundcheck?
    1 hour (2 - 3 piece line-ups)
    90 minutes (4 - 6 piece line-ups)
    2 hours (7 - 8 piece line ups)

    How much space do you need on stage/in the performing area?
    2 – 3 piece: 3m across by 2.5 depth
    4 – 6 piece: 4.5m across by 3.5m depth
    7 – 8 piece: 6m across by 4.5m depth

    If space is limited at your venue, they will gladly adapt within’ reason.

    Can we choose the set list?
    Your party, your music! Pop Culture want to ensure that your occasion feels personal to you; as a standard they will learn your first dance or one special song of choice (at no extra cost) and tailor the live sets to your preference. If you would like the band to learn more than one song request, please make this request upon enquiry.

    Do you have Public Liability Insurance?
    Yes, they do have PLI and they are covered for up to £10m. They can also provide a risk assessment, and their equipment is PAT tested.
