A lot of wedding venues around the UK are fitted with volume restrictors or decibel limiters. These are devices that monitor the volume of noise in an area and ensure that it does not exceed a level that is often imposed by local authorities.

If your venue features one of these, it can sometimes limit your choice of live band or entertainment but there are plenty of bands (such as acoustic wedding bands) that can work with the limiter and still give you a great night of live entertainment and a full dance floor! This can be achieved by some bands using particular instruments, including electric drums or attending with a sound engineer who can individually tweak each element of the sound to ensure that the volume limiter does not get in the way of a great party!
