About

Specialists in weddings, Caribbean evenings, and formal and informal functions, this band have played all over the country, even venturing as far as Paris and Barcelona. Although the band’s repertoire includes all the well-known traditional islands songs, they also play a mixture of Latin and pop music.

The music is arranged in an innovative style but without losing the classic steel pan sound, with jazzy chords and improvisations adding spice throughout.

Available for weddings, parites, BBQs, corporate events and workshops.

Steel Band City phoned a couple of days before the event to make contact, they were really flexible with slightly altering their starting time and what songs etc we wanted. The music was fantastic (even just with one man) and really enjoyable!

5-star band! - They dressed accordingly (Caribbean-themed charity ball) and were willing to assist in whatever way necessary to ensure the ball went with a swing! Great musicians and great, personable guys. Would recommend!

The band were marvelous and very professional. Because of the terrible weather we had to abandon the garden and the stage we had erected and squeeze the band into the conservatory but they still provided a marvelous couple of sets and helped make the party a hugely enjoyable experience despite the ravages of the English weather.     FAQs

    How big is the band?
    In total there are 9 players, but we rarely go out as more than a trio.

    How many players do I need?
    As a general rule, 3 is the magic number. It's our most versatile set up. If your venue is expecially large, or is there will be more than 200 - 250 people in attendance, why not speak to Warble to find out if you may need a PA. We are available as a duo and as a soloist with backing tracks for events with tighter budgets. Ask Warble for advice.

    Can we request a tune for you to learn and can you play happy birthday or here comes the bride?
    Yes, we can.

    Is it good to offer food and drink to the band?
    Why yes, it is. :-)
